Every space holds a story — of memories and moments, of things that hold meaning and value.
I design with thoughtful intention, where artistry meets purpose, through color, light and soul.

We visit a beautiful place but cannot take it forward with us; what remains is the memory of its story and the experience it imprints. We hold it in time, even as time fades.
Amidst the bustling crowds of recently concluded WorldBex 2026, a quiet sanctuary emerged. Enter HINGA, a masterful design concept by interior designer Cecil Ravelas.
Crafted from simple, accessible plywood, this modular dome proves that meaningful spaces don’t need rare or expensive materials—they just need intention. HINGA was conceived out of an inner desire to create a space that inspires others to slow down and reconnect with themselves. It’s a powerful reminder that design can do more than serve a function; it can also create moments of care, reflection, and restoration.
The design concept will be back on show this coming May.

Before the day begins.
A stone bowl. A single flame. A small ritual of arrival … chosen before the inbox, before the noise.
The mood of a home is set in the smallest gestures: how light is invited in, what we touch first, where we pause before we begin.
This is HINGA. The architecture of pause, made tangible.

The room before the room.
Every space we design starts here at a table covered in samples, references, and the long conversations that shape a home.
Materials chosen, debated, and weighed against the life they’ll hold.

Our Principal Designer, IDr. Cecil Ravelas, represented the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) as juror for the Daikin Designer Awards 2026 - the competition’s first ASEAN-wide chapter.
One conversation, one region - design that treats air as a material, works with technology instead of hiding it, and lets Southeast Asia speak in its own collective voice.

A few quiet moments before the conversation began.
Honored to sit as ASEAN jury for the Daikin Designer Awards 2026 alongside fellow designers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and across the region.
A seat at the table. A wider one this year.

“A good development should not feel imposed on a place. It should feel rooted in it.”
This has been at the center of my practice for a long time, the belief that design, at its best, doesn’t announce itself. It listens. It belongs.
Thank you Carla Mortel Baricaua and PL-E Magazine for the space to think through these ideas out loud — on wellness, cultural identity, and the living ecosystems we are called to shape. (April 2026 issue) #livingecosystem #design #redinteriordesign #alignment
“Once a beacon for ships at sea, now reimagined as a sanctuary for the soul. Built within a former lighthouse, the Chapel of Light transforms a place of guidance into one of reflection, stillness, and quiet healing.” #sacred #design #alignment #soulful #chapel
Materiality matters because spaces are not only seen they are felt. Rugs bring warmth, texture, and a quiet sense of grounding that changes the atmosphere of a room.
Always inspired by conversations with people who are passionate about creating something new and looking at the world through different lenses. Thanks @ie_rugs !
Sunday stillness. Missing Ubud and its magic.
This spiral staircase in the villa we stayed in was beautifully unintrusive less of a structure and more of a quiet invitation. It provided a seamless path down to the Bale by the river, a space dedicated to meditation and simply being.
There is a specific kind of clarity that comes from looking out into the canopy, a reminder that our built environments should never compete with nature, but rather provide a path to experience it more deeply.
Finding inspiration in the heights and the greenery today. Wishing you all a restful, reflective Sunday.

Ironwood is rarely used in interiors. It is dense, slow-growing, and unapologetically itself. In Ubud, I stepped into a shower lined entirely in it , walls, bench, floor. One overhead light. Three small bottles. Nothing more. It reminded me that the spaces that stay with us are never the loudest ones. #interiordesign #luxury #wellness #hospitalitydesign #soulspace
