OPEN CALL WFB8 — Fuori luogo / Out of place
Abbiamo il piacere di annunciare il nuovo open call per il prossimo numero. “Fuori luogo” è un’espressione che attraversa diversi livelli di significato. Può indicare qualcosa di inappropriato, un sentimento di disallineamento psicologico oppure letteralmente un elemento collocato fuori posto. Da 'Fontana' (1917) di Duchamp alle imperfezioni intenzionali nei mosaici islamici, il fuori luogo diventa un gesto critico, un atto consapevole, un modo per mettere in crisi regole, contesti e gerarchie.
Cerchiamo artistə che lavorino con dislocazione, errore, deviazione, dissonanza, spostamento, imperfezione come strategie artistiche, politiche o concettuali. L'open call è aperto a livello internazionale, senza limiti artistici.

we’re excited to announce the release of the new issue of Where Flowers Bloom, made possible thanks to your valuable contributions!
We are pleased to include a special contribution by Lucas Herzig, a young Swiss artist we met this summer in his temporary atelier during his exhibition in Gandria (Ticino). Lucas is active on the national scene and was awarded the Manor Art Prize Ticino in 2022. As in previous years, we are also showcasing the work of four students from the Bachelor in Visual Communication, who offer a fresh perspective on the current landscape through projects developed during the CVLab course.
