In this series, Ríos Cozzetto reflects on the climate crisis through personal memory and collective loss. The images emerge from his return to the mountains of his childhood—once lush and green, now dry and littered. Each photograph becomes a fragment of what remains, revealing the silent transformation of the land.
Image 1 The Prayer for Rain: A woman blows into a seashell, raising her plea to the sky for the rain that no longer comes. Her family’s fields, once fertile, now rest lifeless and dry.
Image 2 Present Memory: This image portrays the present state of a childhood landscape. Once vibrant and alive, the mountains now lie barren, stripped of color and covered with waste.
Image 3: Last Petals: The final image captures the last petals of a dying flower, a quiet testimony to nature’s fragility under the weight of drought.
