Located in historic Shinmonzen and housed in one of the city’s traditional wooden machiya townhouses, the store balances the modernity of the brand’s architectural signature with a determination to preserve the city’s time-honoured customs.
Photographed by @romainlaprade , the store design features several mainstays of Kyoto’s cultural heritage, including an interior patio and a traditional wooden façade with two white fabric Noren curtains hung over the storefront.
