Benjamin spent the first 11 months of his life in hospital. He'd already had several life-saving operations and relied on a ventilator to keep him alive. Support from WellChild Nurse Alex enabled Benjamin’s parents to bring their little boy home in time for his first birthday. Thanks to Alex, Benjamin is now living at home with his family and is thriving.

Over 140 #TeamWellChild runners took to the streets of London yesterday to complete an incredible 26.2 miles for children with complex medical needs. Not only have the team been busy with months of training but they have also been hard at work fundraising, with a total target of £350,000.

Every mile run and every pound raised helps WellChild reach even more children with complex medical needs and the families who care for them every day.
