Sign the open letter to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese @albomp to commit to a national truth-telling process! (link in bio) After the Walk for Truth in Victoria, we hear loud and clear from community that truth-telling is an important part of the pathway to healing. DS+ were there every step last year, and we will be there every step this year on the walk to Canberra. The National Walk for Truth will begin on Sunday, 19 April, departing from Parliament House, Naarm and will walk all the way to Canberra, arriving at Parliament House on Wednesday, 27 May, to coincide with the start of National Reconciliation Week. Then join us, side by side, on the Walk For Truth. #WalkForTruth #NationalTruthTelling #Healing

✨ As we near the end of Indigenous Business Month we have been reflecting on our projects with the amazing First Nations businesses we’ve worked with over the last 2 ½ years!! We’re so proud to say that Yirra Miya has now worked with 34 Indigenous businesses on a range of exciting projects, from logos and branding, to layout and illustrations, not to mention a heap of workshops too! 🎉 As a First Nations business we get SO much joy from supporting others on their business journey and we want to thank each one of the First Nations businesses that have trusted us with their stories and their projects. Our aim is to support, embrace, and empower First Nations businesses, young entrepreneurs, and organisations focused on community growth and development. Cultural storytelling, respect, experience, and creative intuition sits at the core of how we bring to life branding, design, cultural art, and business development opportunities. 🌟 If you are a First Nations business looking to bring your story to life, we’d love to hear from you! 📩 Connect and yarn with us at [email protected], or via our website yirramiya.com.au/contact! #IndigenousBusinessMonth #IndigBizMonth #IBM2025 #StrengthThroughCollaboration #EmpowerOurMob #FirstNationsCreatives #FirstNationsOwned #ProudToBeIndigenous #BlakBusiness #CommunityConnection #IndigenousBusiness #YirraMiya

I was given the most amazing opportunity to attend the Little Sis Retreat with @weenthunga . I got to meet the most amazing tiddas who were from all over victoria and im so grateful to have made lifelong friends. During this retreat I got to find out more about myself and my journey and got to learn about other people and different stories that really opened up my eyes. I got to meet the amazing Aunty Pam who has the most beautiful and inspiring soul and i’m so glad i got to share the first day with her. Thank you so much to @weenthunga for this you guys have helped me in so many ways that words can’t describe how much you mean to me 🩷🩷🩷

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some of the beautiful work created by our Balance participants from @weenthunga Nyarrn-gakgo Mangkie program. These works were exhibited earlier this year at Brunswick Street Gallery alongside a community gathering where we came together over art and food. Balance explored art as cultural practice as a strengthening factor for wellbeing. ✨ Thank you to all of our artists for their beautiful work!

Cultural Safety and Critical Consciousness Training ❤️💛🖤 Our staff have been exploring identity, culture and effective allyship through training with @weenthunga Attendee Liz Currie shared, "There were many things that inspired me in understanding ways of knowing and being in/with First Nations health perspectives. In particular, the grounding was an amazing experience to breathe together, to listen, and to feel our own body sensations." We're proud to stand hand in hand with First Nations communities and to reaffirm our commitment to meaningful reconciliation.
