We're excited to share that the American Water Charitable Foundation's Keep Communities Flowing® Fund supported the distribution of $250,000 in utility assistance, helping 1,250 eligible New Jersey households pay their electric, gas, or water bills. This pilot is among the first of its kind to offer flexible utility assistance while reducing barriers for families experiencing financial hardship. Participants were able to choose the utility where support was needed most. They received assistance through a streamlined, efficient process made possible in partnership with @wearedreammachine , a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that independently exercised full control over the funds, and Promise, a technology company specializing in the delivery of assistance to low‑income populations. #AWCF #KeepCommunitiesFlowing
