We brought the AI x Library Project to the Detroit Public Library Main Branch—a powerful stop on our nationwide effort to make AI literacy accessible to everyone.
The AI x Library Project, supported by @google , is a national initiative transforming libraries into entry points for AI education, dialogue, and empowerment. Through hands-on learning, storytelling, and discussion, we’re helping communities explore how emerging technologies can be used by the people, for the people.
This session featured insights from @hajjflemings , CEO of REBRANDX, and had sessions facilitated by @iammarlonavery , who led an engaging conversation on how AI intersects with creativity, business, and community building.
Detroit’s energy was electric—curious minds, courageous ideas, and a shared belief that the future belongs to all of us.

Libraries have always been the frontline of change.
Long before AI, before the internet, before most people even had access to information at scale… libraries were the place you went to catch up with the world. To learn. To adapt. To get access to what you didn’t have at home. That hasn’t changed.
What’s changed is the speed of the world.
AI is moving fast. Faster than most institutions can keep up. Faster than most people feel ready for. And in moments like this, the question isn’t just who builds the future. It’s who gets access to it. Libraries answer that.
They are local. They are open. And they don’t ask you to already be ahead to walk through the door.
In Wilkes-Barre, we saw people step into AI for the first time. Small business owners. Creatives. Everyday people trying to figure out where they fit in this new world.
