A Different Thing Altogether! 2.5 years ago I came down with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) This left me mostly housebound for a year, followed by another year of extreme fatigue. In 2018, I've started to mentally feel more like myself, though I still don't have much physical energy. Riding across town can tire me out for a day or two. It took me a long time to realize what was going on and what the limits of my health were. In that time I did a lot of bike rides that left me in bed for days! Lol ;-)
I don't see myself racing bikes again and I'm still unsure of what role bicycles will play in my future, but I'm happy, learning, and exploring my other interests everyday!
