17 designers/artists, 1 installation. The ‚Choir‘ translates collective rebellion into flags—each one a stance, together a chorus.     In an era of acceleration, fragmentation, and uncertainty @house_of_change_festival   #7 creates space for artistic and intellectual reflection and exchange.     As many symbols no longer feel aligned with their promises, we contributed a flag, that is interconnected, open, and transparent, both visually and symbolically. A flag that offers orientation and empowerment.     We are drowning in information while starving for wisdom and connection! Community and being part of mother nature feel essential. Everything is interconnected, with responsibility towards the next seven generations.     This flag invites a pause, momentum to breathe, reflect, and warrior up. A flag that stands for resilience. It is made of different patches and roots, together they form one whole.     Unity does not mean sameness. Diversity can create oneness. A reminder that transparency, openness, and community are things we continuously create together. _________ MERCI @house_of_change_festival @raphaelapichler @marisaburn @ferus.social @belvederebellagio for a beautiful dinner and inspiring festival gathering. _________ Speakers @lotte_axelsson @lya_sol @s_ariza Photos @mirjamkluka @raphaelapichler @piaseidel_photography @w_e_studio Installation Gigi Burn @stitchieburn | Grit Wolany @gritney | FERUS Collective | Hanya Leo @thehanyaleo | Jenny and Simon Burgunder @aissoshop @burgunderofficial | Juliette Chrétien @kiesel_kiesel_kiesel | Kim Pham @kiminelle | LAIN @lainone | Marie-Christine Gerber @mcgerberphotographer | Marisa Burn | Pascale Wiedemann @wiedemannmettler | Raphaela Pichler | Simone Züger @simonezueger | Sue Ariza @s_ariza | W—E studio with Janina Katumbwe @w_e_studio @pierawolf @claudineeriksson @kn1na   | Yael Anders @yaelanders

The visual expression of FERUS was shaped through collaboration across disciplines. The logo exists in different states; structured, fluid, vibrating. Motion introduces rhythm and liquidity. Digital translates this into an adaptable system, where each FERUS member is represented individually. These elements were developed together, influencing each other over time. Decisions were made collaboratively across strategy, visual identity, motion and digital. The result is a visual expression that allows movement, variation and individuality; built as one shared system.

2 consecutive books, 1 continues story for the next 7 generations. The books’ visual systems & tactile journeys confront the most sophisticated technologies alive found around the globe. Intentional design details reflect the carefully selected examples presented. Metallic color highlight the value of ancient knowledge. Cardboard hardcover echoes rawness with a round cover diecut hinting at planet earth in the 2nd book. Open Swiss brochure reveals the books’ construction in a pure and functional way. This interactive book includes a (altitude/water) level ruler that links to the bars visible on the book block. Chapter colors organise content. __________ Slides 6 onwards cover the most recent book: Lo—TEK. Water. A Field Guide for TEKnology. It explores Indigenous aquatic technologies for a climate-adaptive future. This book reveals how Indigenous innovations have sustained civilizations for millennia by working with nature, not against it. These systems offer dynamic, adaptable solutions for the climate crisis of today. Structured to bridge past & future, the author dissolves the divide between technology & ecology, between ancestral wisdom & digital innovation. The TEKnological Renaissance it celebrates redenes water as an intelligent force that can shape resilient cities & landscapes. Co-authored with Indigenous knowledge-keepers & with a foreword by Dr. Lyla June Johnson (Diné/Tsétshésthese), this read investigates traditional hydrological technologies across diverse ecosystems, from salty coastal reefs to freshwater wetlands. Lo—TEK Water A Field Guide for TEKnology We are happy to announce that the 2nd volume in the Lo–TEK series launched in Europe and the UK. This field guide explores ancestral water technologies across diverse ecosystems—from salty coastal reefs to freshwater wetlands—through Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and contemporary TEK-infused hybrid systems demonstrating how Indigenous systems foster resilience, adaptation, and regenerative design. Drawing on years of field research and collaboration with Indigenous experts, Lo–TEK Water reveals how communities around the world have developed water systems that work with natural cycles rather than against them. 💙 Structured to bridge past and future, the book is co-authored with Indigenous knowledge keepers to honor cultural integrity and ecological specificity. With a foreword by Dr. Lyla June Johnson (Diné/Tsétsėhéstȧhese), this volume invites architects, planners, policymakers, and communities to embrace water as a co-creator and to cultivate cities and landscapes that thrive through ancestral resilience. Lo—TEK Water invites readers to see water as a living, relational system—one that shapes culture, ecology, and design—and offers insights for creating adaptive, climate-conscious, and future-ready landscapes.
