Ik vond eeeeindelijk even de tijd om beelden te maken van Exit, de nieuwe plaat van @bazartband die ik mocht ontwerpen. Vanaf het begin voelde Exit als een overgang naar iets nieuws. Eens de coverfoto finaal gekozen werd, bleef ik hangen bij het idee van reflectie, letterlijk in de metalen elementen en het Exit sign, maar ook figuurlijk in de teksten zelf. Dit probeerde ik verder te vertalen in materiaal en kleur: koud zilver tegenover een licht transparant groen dat net iets laat oplichten, alsof er onder alles toch een zachte gloed van hoop zit? Voor een extra laag vroeg ik Mathieu om de voorlopige tracklist handgeschreven door te sturen. Die tekst vertaalde ik naar een abstracte vorm die doorheen het hele album terugkomt. Zonder context lijkt het gewoon een grafisch element, maar eigenlijk is het iets heel menselijks. Er zit een zekere dubbelheid in het geheel: afstandelijk en koel, maar tegelijk warm en filmisch ofzo, alsof je naar stills uit een film kijkt (door de ogen van @d_lavrovski ).
Heeeeeel dankbaar dat ik mee vorm mocht geven aan zo’n mooi album. 🩵

Made a poster with blue-sky letters for an all-day party 🩵 in NYC at an incredible outdoor secret location.
@dayjam.nyc will be debuting a new sound system by @soundandcolor.nyc (NYC/Paris) and have invited some of the best DJs in town: Artwork, Alex McCracken, Beewack, and Fundido.
The dance will kick off around lunchtime, take you into sunset, and will run into the night with a headline closing set from the legendary DJ and producer Artwork.

A 2 half days online Zoom workshop (21 + 28 May 2026) Thursday 21 May 2026: 3PM – 7PM CEST Thursday 28 May 2026: 3PM – 7PM CEST This workshop explores how to strengthen a typographic poster through self-made tools. Participants create custom brushes, build a visual library, and use these tools to enhance a strictly limited black and white composition, first individually and then collaboratively. Working within fixed typographic constraints, they expand structure and tone through color, strokes, and precise interventions. All brushes and resulting posters are gathered into a shared library and digital publication, forming a collective archive of the workshop’s process and outcomes. Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a must. Only 30 spaces available. I highly recommend participating as a duo. ☺️
