How robust is your safety practice before an assignment? Not just physical risk. Digital. Legal. Psychological too. Two of the most experienced voices in journalist safety are joining Video Consortium for a free workshop designed to help journalists assess risk more systematically and strengthen safety practices before the next story. Jeje Mohamed, co-founder of Aegis Safety Alliance, is a holistic safety advisor specializing in trauma-informed training, digital safety, and psychological first aid for journalists and media makers. Elisabet Cantenys, founding executive director of ACOS Alliance, brings nearly 20 years of experience leading journalist safety programs, partnerships, and training worldwide. Together, they will facilitate Safety First: How to Create Trauma-Informed Risk Assessments, a practical session exploring how journalists can integrate trauma-informed approaches into everyday workflows and strengthen both personal and team safety. Participants will leave with field-ready frameworks, practical tools, and actionable “quick wins” they can apply immediately. 🗓️ May 18 | 12 p.m. ET Swipe to see what’s covered. Free. Empowered mothers lead to stronger communities. In the remote village of Uttar Pradesh, India, where traditions overshadow maternal health, a pregnant woman’s silent battle with high-risk anemia transforms when Accredited Social Health Activist workers step in to help.  “For Every Breath” made by @priyankamukherjee and @watermelonguy123 in collaboration with @armmanindia is a powerful portrait of the community healthcare advocates working on the frontlines to ensure safe motherhood.  ▶️ Watch now at the link in bio. 🌎 This film is a product of the Solutions Storytelling Project, a @skoll.foundation -supported initiative from @videoconsortium that connects regional filmmakers and social innovators to produce solutions-focused short documentaries that catalyze positive change. #SolutionsInsideOut #Asia

Come shape what it becomes! 🎟️ RSVP at the link in bio. A school’s impact cannot be understated. It creates a plan where every child feels seen, safe, and filled with possibility. Join us for the virtual premiere of the short documentary “Light in the Lanes,” on May 19 at 10am EST / 7pm PKT. The film is set in Machar Colony in Karachi, one of Pakistan’s most marginalized informal settlements, where only 12 percent of residents can read and write. The story follows Ms. Mumtaz, the principal of a school run by The Citizens Foundation, as she and her team work to make education a reality for children in this forgotten community. After the screening, join us for a Q&A with the film’s director, Uzair Surhio (@uzairsurhio ), as well as a thought-provoking panel discussion on the transformative impact of education. Register now at the link in our bio. This film is a product of the Solutions Storytelling Project, a @skoll.foundation -supported initiative from @videoconsortium that connects regional filmmakers and social innovators to produce solutions-focused short documentaries that catalyze positive change. #SolutionsInsideOut #StorytellingForImpact #DocumentarySeries #SocialInnovation #StoriesOfHope #SolutionsThatMatter
