2025! You were full of adventure, viriditas, friends and fruit. My first novel came out, my first solo road trip and backpack were gone upon, I went to Alaska twice and India once, cooked many pizzas, saw a play in a living room. Some people left my life, many more entered. My sister got married and my brother had a baby. Omar continued to be wonderful even though sometimes he peed on the floor. The news made me devastated, the news made me hopeful (mostly devastated tho). Still here, which is a hell of a privilege. š Happy new year.
Yay bread ride! This was the biggest turnout yet, on the hottest day. We visited @gooddoughpdx , @littletbaker , @taborbread , @higlutenpdx and @labyrinth.bread before collapsing in a puddle of sweat in the shade on Mt. Tabor. Thanks to everybody that came, shared bites and laughs and tasty times. Thanks to the bakers for their magic and patience with a big line of hungry bikers. The school year is just about over, and the berry field was packed with both kids and fruit. I did some portraits before making my annual pie and jam. Memory Jars is a nice book to share this time of year, as seasons and lives change, and everything feels a little extra sticky and sweet. Read it with your favorite weird little growth! ššš½
