I had such an amazing first market today! Thanks everyone for coming out and trying my goods, and to all the friends and community who have helped me along this journey to fulfill my bakery dreams!!
I sold out pretty quickly today (!!) so am ramping up production for next week. I’ll bake all my two hands and micro bakery set up can pump out, with goals and schemes to continue to learn and refine more efficient production practices so I can churn out more of those loaves and focaccia slabs. So excited to feed ya this year and beyond!

Ocean Woods runs this cottage bakery out of Northeast Portland, crafting naturally leavened whole grain sourdough, focaccia, and treats made exclusively with locally grown, stone-milled grains. The fruit, herbs, and veggies come straight from Ocean’s own garden or local farmer friends.

hey, I’m looking for someone to join the team and assist me in the bakery and at the market! This could be one position (bakery and market assistant, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) or two positions split into bakery help and market help. Ability to work on your feet for long hours, lift heavy things repeatedly, and one year professional bakery or kitchen experience a must. Opportunity to get your hands on all aspects of running a bakery and small business that is growing! Potential for job to grow with bakery. Pastry skills are a plus as I am hoping to develop that side of the bakery more. Good communication, reliable, hard working and good vibes a must.

sooo, this is Yosemite Falls. She’s a beaut, ain’t she? It was at the top of this hike, just after I began my descent, that I fell and broke my ankle, causing me to miss work. Surprisingly my healing has been progressing at a steady clip, and I’m able to be at market this Sunday, sooner than I would have anticipated!! I hope to see you there. While I wouldn’t recommend breaking your ankle in three places, this was quite a beautiful view 🤩🏞️

Demoing some vollkonbrot style 100% whole grain rye with sunflower, flax, and pumpkin seeds. Need to wait 24 hrs to cut into these bad boys, because they need that time to fully set.
