Hi all, we have some big news to share today: after two years of roving around town every weekend, Babcia is now entering its final month as a pop-up bakery. Last year Jade and I signed a lease on a space in beautiful downtown Milwaukie, OR that will soon become our permanent home. We are extremely excited to be this close to a dream that we’ve held for years and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with all of you. We don’t yet have a firm opening date, but starting in June we will be taking a break from public baking to focus on getting our shop up and running. It’s certainly been a chaotic couple of years and we really can’t thank you all enough for showing up time after time, following us to wherever we chose to set up shop for the day. We’re also forever grateful to each and every business, market, festival and front porch that has hosted over the last two years and will always cherish the memories we created together. On behalf of Jade and myself, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us the freedom and space to express ourselves and make a living while we searched for a place of our own. We love you and thank you!
With that said, we have three very special events left on the books for May and we sure hope you will come see us before our hiatus ! We’re starting off this Sunday 5/3 right where we began in the driveway on NE 12th. Feels crazy to think about those early days almost 4 years ago. Join us there for a stroll down memory lane from 10AM-1PM with all the usual fresh baked bread and pastries. We will have lots available for walk-ups, but if you want to avoid the potential disappointment of missing out on your favorite you can always checkout the link to our website in our bio to place a pre-order. Mother’s Day pre-orders are available now on our website! Checkout the link in our bio to order bread, pastries and @cloudforest chocolate for pickup Sunday 5/10 from 10AM-1PM at the one and only Cloudforest Cafe 935 SE Hawthorne Blvd. We will also keep plenty of stock on-hand if you prefer to walk in, grab a drink, chill and make your selections in person. Cloudforest has a ton of great gift options available in their shop for you to peruse as well.
We’ve loved having the opportunity to pop-up in Jenna and Sebastian’s space over the last few years and will always be thankful for the good times there. We hope you’ll come and join us there one last time on Sunday!

I didn’t realize until after the fact that last weekend was our 5 year anniversary. It’s crazy thinking back to those early days, driving bread baked in my parent’s oven all over town. Thanks for all your support along the way!

Join us at 4015 NE 12th Ave from 9:30AM-12:30PM for fresh bread + pastries and bouquets by Marianna. We’re making up for missing Pączki Day this year with a big batch of our baked pączki filled with homemade plum jam that we canned at the end of last summer.
