1/2 @miista Inspired By - @emmadabiri MISTA’s “Inspired By” series celebrates individuals who challenge conventions and inspire through their unique perspectives. This profile features Emma Dabiri - a writer, academic, and broadcaster. Across her three books – ’Don’t Touch My Hair’, ‘What White People Can Do Next’ and ‘Disobedient Bodies’ – Emma has dismantled conventional narratives around race, capitalism and beauty, and invited us to imagine an alternative, more equitable world, where our lives aren’t dictated by society’s rules and expectations. By delving into the stories of bold, risk-taking creatives, MISTA not only honours their achievements but also inspires others to embrace their individuality and make a difference. The profile is presented as an article, accompanied by a series of videos and photographs shared across the brand’s social media platforms. Here’s a teaser for a new episode I edited for @saunachannel , directed & shot by @sashakulak . Join us on a journey through the Swiss Alps as we explore how the ancient Latvian Pirts tradition has found new life in Switzerland. Guided by steam master Māra Zute, this episode traces the ritual’s transformation across three unique locations - from the sleek serenity of Tamina Therme in Bad Ragaz, to a mountaintop tent in Valens, to an open-air showroom in Roggwil. Blending wellness, nature, and heritage, the film offers a gentle reflection on how Pirts connects body and spirit - across cultures and generations. Here is a teaser for one of the Swiss episodes for @saunachannel , directed & shot by @sashakulak and edited by me. Dive into the heartwarming story of Helena Nidecker & Sibylle Probst, two women who turned their shared passion for wellbeing and the outdoors into a unique floating sauna experience on Lake Biel. Their journey, beautifully captured in this film, “Swiss Sauna Raft”, reveals the inspiration behind their creation (known locally as the “Saunafloss Erlach” - “Floss” meaning “float” or “raft” in Swiss German) and the dedication that brought this dream to life. Watch the full film on Producer: Māra Zute Director/DP: @sashakulak Editor: @vera.v.romanova Voiceover: Patricia Vasto (@djphhhhatpat ) Sound: @ossip_blits Music, Sound Design, & Mix: Igor Dyachenko (@igordyachenko ) Cast: Helena Nidecker & Sibylle Probst
