Last week, Cycles premiered at @framelessldn ! Thank you to my absolutely unique friend, talent, performer, muse, supporter, angel of a person @emmapoyer for making this piece with me and bringing it to life. Thank you to @rca_digitaldirection for facilitating the event and for the amazing people it brought to me this year. We presented the live performance of Cycles (there is also a VR version of it) tracing how habitual movements keep gendered power in motion, and how the bodies we carry into virtual worlds drag those same rules with them. The work asks new technologies not to replicate those internalised structures but to interrupt them so the cycle can finally break. Stay tuned to witness the project and the processes unfold!

A beautiful evening of film and conversation On the 1st of May, I had the chance to present my short dance film Cycles in yet another form. After existing as both VR experience and a live performance created with @emmapoyer , Cycles returned to the traditional cinema setting at Close-up Cinema in Shoreditch. It was shown alongside the works of Kashish Gakhar, Alexis Obue and Margherita Allievi, each approaching themes of control, patriarchy and digital culture through different perspectives and visual languages. A huge thank you to Lol Sargent for creating this opportunity, to Evelyn Mora for leading our Q&A and to everyone that came!

Meet Ventcislava Nekova - Director & Founder of R.E.S.T.A.G.E Ventcislava Nekova is an artist and movement director working at the intersection of dance, immersive technology, and digital storytelling. Her practice explores how bodies are shaped, disciplined, and resisted within systems of control across both physical and virtual spaces. Through film, installation, and performance, she uses choreographic language to make invisible power structures felt and seen. CYCLES will take part in SPATIAL STORYTELLING 2025 at the London Breeze Film Festival! RCA School of Communication x Off Site Project Wednesday 22 October, 2 - 8 pm Returning for a second year, SPATIAL STORYTELLING presents an immersive one-day exhibit of RCA graduates who push the boundaries of narrative space. Visitors are invited to try on virtual reality headsets and to interact with unique digital media artworks. The showcase features projects from MA Digital Direction, MA Information Experience Design and MFA Communication, including virtual reality, video games and digital media installations. A big thank you to Dr Atif Ghani of the @rcasoc , to everyone at @londonbreezefilmfestival and to @riversidestudioslondon for making this happen. Ventcislava is the light, as she engages with latest project and program Sundial System.
