Got my film developed from the short trip to Cyprus. Stumbled upon this beautiful ship wreck and watched a few daredevils drive from the rusty carcass into the dark sea. Shot on super high contrast Harman Phoenix 200. These are completely unedited. Did not expect the results to be so moody and apocalyptic as it was a very soft ✨sunset. Very fitting for the location. Not too sure about this film but worth the experiment 🖤

Something that originally pulled me towards the script were very personal reasons. About fatherhood. About connection. Not only was the script and the experience filming very special, but this trip was particularly special for me as I had a chance to reconnect with my father. Making this film will be one of my favourite memories and Lithuania will forever hold an important place in my heart.

The process of creating the animated ident for Courageous Donuts builds on the quote ‘embrace the complexity, beauty and mess of being human’. The central idea focuses on the importance of individuality and character driven visual output. Trusting the unpredictability of practical effects in film leads to moments that feel alive and authentic through imperfections in colour, texture, and form.
Anastasiya Mykhaylova and Patrick James Verlin, the two filmmakers behind Donuts, wanted its logo to reflect its identity as a small boutique art-house film studio that embraces the messiness of being human, views life from a different perspective, and feels both tactile and real while retaining a sense of wonder.
