She's 15, balancing homework and volleyball practice, and she just led a marketing team to deliver real business solutions. Through our Employer Provided Innovation Challenges (EPIC) program, Madison stepped into the role of CEO, leading her team to develop player trading cards for a local sponsorship, new social media strategies, online shopping enhancements, and targeted outreach to young families for @poolrxworldwide . The company was so impressed, they offered several students paid internships to help execute the ideas. This is what happens when we give students a seat at the table. Young leaders Juniper Ward and Cameron Parker—#NationalCivicsBee state finalists from Oregon and Colorado—recently spoke at the @usccfoundation 's 2026 Building Resilience conference, offering the next generation's perspective on community preparedness and disaster resilience. 📣 Their message: resilience is built through kindness, connection, and showing up for each other. Young people have the ideas, grit, and determination to strengthen their communities. They just need business, nonprofit, and government leaders to share their expertise and resources to help them turn their ideas into action. Early #NationalCivicsBee competitions are happening now in every U.S. state. Visit nationalcivicsbee.org to find one near you and get inspired by students like Juniper and Cameron! 🐝🌟 #BuildingDisasterResilience #DisasterPreparedness #CivicEngagement #YouthLeadership

Over two days in #WashingtonDC, Building Resilience attendees heard from dozens of corporate leaders, FIFA's head of safety, former FEMA officials, state emergency management directors, nonprofits, and small business owners navigating risk firsthand. Sessions covered disaster mitigation, workforce readiness, housing, insurance, and what effective cross-sector partnerships look like in practice. We presented new preliminary research with @verizon that puts data behind the gap between small business confidence and actual preparedness. As one small business owner put it, "I owe it to my community to have a plan in place." Beyond the main stage, attendees participated in a disaster simulation led by AshBritt and the Caterpillar Foundation, and toured the @aianational campus to see how design decisions shape community recovery. Now in its 15th year, Building Resilience exists because no single sector can solve disaster preparedness alone. 🔗 Click the link in our bio to learn more about this signature event series. Thank you to the speakers, attendees, and partners who made this year's event possible: @verizon , @walmart , @ups , @amazon , @caterpillarinc , @proctorgamble , @fedex , @esrigram , EM1, @we.are.iem , and Pratus. #BuildingDisasterResilience @uschamber

Kicking off Day 1 of our #BuildingDisasterResilience conference, we announced a strategic partnership with @verizon to help America’s small businesses better prepare for disasters, respond to disruptions, recover more quickly from damage, and strengthen the communities that depend on them. As part of this work, we released preliminary findings from a national survey revealing that while 94% of small business owners are confident they could recover from a disaster, only 31% have a plan in place. 📄 Click the #LinkInBio to read the full announcement and explore the research. 📸: U.S. Chamber Foundation SVP Marc DeCourcey moderates a panel titled "Powering Small Business Success Through Resilience" with Verizon's Donna Epps and small business owners Mario Jaramillo and Natasha Broxton at the 2026 Building Resilience Conference, May 5 in #WashingtonDC #SmallBusinessWeek #SmallBusinessResilience @uschamber @selectautopart @robotagency

The @rogerslowellchamber hosted 15+ students at Rogers High School this week for the National Civics Bee Local Competition, designed for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in civic literacy and community engagement. After identifying community issues and proposing solutions through an essay, attendees participated in a live quiz and Q&A with a panel of judges. Now, the competition’s top three finalists will move onto the National Civics Bee State Competition in Conway, Arkansas. The National Civics Bee is a program of @civicsbuzz , an initiative of the @usccfoundation , dedicated to advancing and promoting civics knowledge in schools, workplaces and communities.
