Young leaders Juniper Ward and Cameron Parker—#NationalCivicsBee state finalists from Oregon and Colorado—recently spoke at the @usccfoundation 's 2026 Building Resilience conference, offering the next generation's perspective on community preparedness and disaster resilience.
📣 Their message: resilience is built through kindness, connection, and showing up for each other. Young people have the ideas, grit, and determination to strengthen their communities. They just need business, nonprofit, and government leaders to share their expertise and resources to help them turn their ideas into action.
Early #NationalCivicsBee competitions are happening now in every U.S. state. Visit nationalcivicsbee.org to find one near you and get inspired by students like Juniper and Cameron! 🐝🌟

The @rogerslowellchamber hosted 15+ students at Rogers High School this week for the National Civics Bee Local Competition, designed for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in civic literacy and community engagement.
After identifying community issues and proposing solutions through an essay, attendees participated in a live quiz and Q&A with a panel of judges. Now, the competition’s top three finalists will move onto the National Civics Bee State Competition in Conway, Arkansas.
The National Civics Bee is a program of @civicsbuzz , an initiative of the @usccfoundation , dedicated to advancing and promoting civics knowledge in schools, workplaces and communities.
We had the incredible honor of hosting the regional round of the 2026 National Civics Bee® right here at the Opelika Chamber—and what a day it was! 🇺🇸

The Jefferson Chamber was proud to host the inaugural Regional Civics Bee (@civicsbuzz ) at the @marriottlakeway , bringing together some of the brightest young minds from across the Greater New Orleans region.
Ten outstanding students were selected to compete after submitting thoughtful essays on how they would improve their communities. They put their civic knowledge to the test through two rounds of challenging multiple-choice civics-based questions, and the top five finalists then advanced to a live Q&A, where they engaged with a distinguished panel of local leaders and educators.
Congratulations to our top three winners, Arivan S., Dominic E., and Eliezer F., who will advance to compete at the state level of the 2026 National Civics Bee!
Thank you to our contestants, judges, and sponsors, especially @marriottlakeway , @tasterumba , @unitedwaysela , who made this event possible.

April is National Volunteer Month, and Odessa, Texas, showed what’s possible when a community rallies around a shared goal.
For their Civic Day of Action, the @odessachamber led a community-wide cleanup to tackle windblown litter—and the takeaway was clear: the best way to make an impact is to get involved.
