No talk of palettes nor directions, no leader nor follower, no desired outcome, no rules. Creating art for art’s sake and letting the audience peak into the process. Making them a part of the process. Heavily influenced by music played by @___neuma Thank you to all the hands involved in this one.
That’s a wrap! A big shoutout to everyone who helped behind the scenes to make this exhibition possible. We couldn’t be happier seeing our talented artists come together for @coastshelter . Also thanks to @breegoddard_ for snapping some pics of the group setting up 📸
The result was not what I expected. That’s what I love about live painting. When we invite others to create along side us, it removes expectations. It becomes about the process, the moment, the music, the people.
I’ve watched people hesitate, saying, “I don’t want to ruin it” Until they realise there is nothing to ruin, only something to be part of.

INERTIA: I explore how ADHD shapes my creative process through shifting focus and restless experimentation. Moving across tie-dye, collage, painting, 3D printing, and sculpture, the series embraces distraction as a generative force, transforming movement between mediums into a dynamic journey of discovery.
Jacob Hall is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brisbane, on the lands of the Turrbal and Jagera peoples. His practice moves fluidly across tie-dye, graffiti, drawing, painting, 3D printing, and casting, reflecting an enduring curiosity and a restless drive to explore new possibilities within each medium. Though his work embraces a wide spectrum of forms, his creative journey began with graffiti, a formative influence that continues to pulse through his practice, shaping both his aesthetic sensibility and his experimental approach to making.
Jacob’s work carries the raw energy and boldness of street culture, balanced with a curiosity to push into new forms and materials. His willingness to shift between mediums allows him to create works that feel dynamic, expressive and unrestricted by convention.
For this exhibition, Jacob is presenting a series titled Inertia which explores how ADHD influences art-making through constant shifts in focus and medium. Each work reflects movement between distraction and concentration, between exploration and completion. The series embraces this restless energy as a way to generate new connections and sustain creativity. Through a collection of sub-series including mediums such as tie dye, Collage, paintings, 3D prints and sculptures This collection highlights both his versatility and his ongoing journey of discovery as an artist.
