Hey everyone! I figured it was probably time to introduce myself properly on here! My name is Kirra, and I am the creator behind The Molten Forge. I’m from the Central Coast in Australia and I started making jewellery at the beginning of this year, and although I am only very new to the industry, I am very excited and passionate about what I make, and I am excited to share more with you! The inspiration behind The Molten Forge has really come from my love of fantasy novels; I wanted to create pieces that took inspiration from a dark and mystical feeling within, inspiring you to reach into your creativity whilst allowing you to feel like the main character of your favourite book. I have always loved art since I was a kid, and I have tried numerous things trying to find my niche; from selling paintings, to doing stick and poke tattoos, to sewing beads on shirts. I feel like I’ve finally found my passion with The Molten Forge. In my spare time I love spending time with my partner going to see live music, hanging out with my friends under the sun, and spending time with my cats reading. I have always been drawn to nature and find a lot of my inspiration is drawn from the natural ebbs and flows of the world, embracing the imperfections of it all. I love things that aren’t exactly perfect, and I channel that into the pieces that I make. I find creations with flaws to be much more captivating and unique. Anyways, posting on the internet is scary and makes me anxious but I really REALLY appreciate you all being here to support me and MF and I’m really excited for the future!! Freshwater Pearl and Sterling Silver 🤤 If you’re new on my page, I make all of my ring designs out of Jewellers Wax that then get cast into the metal of my choice, cleaned up and the stones added! This method is called lost wax casting and is thousands of years old During the casting process the wax completely melts away and I don’t use moulds so each of my pieces is a 1 of 1 design!!
