Our final book project of the year. Resurrection Blues gathers 2,300 images ranging from the detritus of art history to hypnagogic flashes into a speculative encyclopedia. A frame by frame genealogy of shapes, textures, and unrealized abstract movements. Painter Mil Ceulemans, whose hands-on practice was interrupted by illness, reactivates decades of intuition through image generators. His painterly instincts now collide with lightning fast computational systems shaped by online styles, collective expectations, and the shorthand aesthetics of pop culture. What emerges feels like an unlikely germination: code and intuition intertwine like mycelial strands, producing image spores whose meaning unfolds slowly, through layers of gesture, colour, composition, and surface. Part inquiry into authorship, part archive of half remembered or fictional schools, Resurrection Blues offers a stroboscopic glimpse into an artistic process that is both deeply rooted and constantly mutating.
With a literary reflection by Peter Terrin and MRCS. Published by Hopper&Fuchs.

After two intense years of collaboration with Luc Deleu and the T.O.P. office team, we’re proud to finally share the result: two brand-new books, beautifully published as a boxed set by @hopperandfuchs .
T.O.P. office - Founder’s Choice – Luc Deleu
A 528-page overview of 50+ years of T.O.P. office. Founder’s Choice, compiled and composed by architect Luc Deleu, is the first complete, generously illustrated and large-scale overview on the activities of T.O.P. office, founded in 1970. In ten chapters, the activities from Deleu and his collaborators are presented both thematically and chronologically, showing an oeuvre that is as diverse and elusive as it is coherent and cohesive. From actual buildings to competition projects and proposals, from small interventions to global plans, the work presented in this book is an invitation to face mankind’s spatial presence on earth, and to extract purpose out of it through art and architecture.
Luc Deleu: A Reader
144 pages of writings, lectures, and articles by Luc Deleu. Together with T.O.P. office, Luc Deleu has developed, for more than half a century, an architectural and artistic oeuvre in all kinds of media. Deleu himself, however, has also theorized and explored his own activities, and that of architects and urban planners in general. As a reader and as a writer, he has tried to position and explain himself in words, leading to a unique body of text. This book is the first complete collection of his writings, lectures, and articles, starting with Orbanist Manifesto from 1980 and leading up to Darling Springs: A Call for Beauty from 2024. The book is introduced by means of a conversation between Hans Ulrich Obrist, Nico Dockx and Luc Deleu.

New Book Drop: Aykut Erol, written by Max Borka. From Aykut Erol’s radical 2004 manifesto to the groundbreaking Line system and now Line 2.0, Erol redefines design as a tool for connection, simplicity, and meaning. This book is the first full overview of Erol’s visionary work that captures two decades of experiments that blur the line between design and art—lean, light, and radically human. In a world fractured by division and excess, Erol’s ideas feel more topical than ever.

ONBOARDS BIENNALE 2025 is an exhibition of contemporary art presented on billboards. In July 2025, works by nationally and internationally established and emerging artists as well as master’s students from Sint Lucas and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp will be on view 24/7 across various billboard locations throughout the city of Antwerp.
RELATIONSHIPS, rooted in relatio—“to bring back” or “reconnect” are fundamental to the creation of meaning. They link people, objects, and ideas, restoring connections and shaping our understanding of the world. ONBOARDS BIENNALE invites artists to explore the theme RELATIONSHIPS through social, environmental, cultural, and conceptual lenses, transforming public billboards into spaces of exchange between artists, audiences, and the urban landscape.

Submission deadline: 20 May.
The typographic image, built around the basic shapes of the letters R and S, acts as a visual symbol of connection and interaction. The intersections of horizontal and vertical lines evoke the grid as a structural principle. This visual matrix represents not only interconnectedness but also the underlying organization of complex systems. The campaign visual was created through generative coding using p5.js, a coding framework.

With a love for proportion, our latest book project, A House to Live With, published by Park Books, has just arrived. This is the first comprehensive monograph on the houses designed by Dom Hans van der Laan and his companions, authored by Caroline Voet and Hans W. van der Laan.
Dom Hans van der Laan (1904–1991) is something of a cult figure in post-World War II architecture. A Dutch Benedictine monk and architect, he dedicated his life to exploring fundamental principles of architecture, and his ideas on numerical relationships and dimensional systems were highly influential in mid-20th-century architectural theory.
A House to Live With delves into the residential buildings designed by Van der Laan and his companions. Sixteen houses, built between 1966 and 1985, are meticulously documented with newly produced photographs and plans, and analyzed for their compositional and design principles. Essays in the book explore the mathematical relationships of numbers and volumes that are central to Van der Laan’s work, and discuss how his designs were influenced by ancient Roman architecture. The book also examines the relationship between house and garden and house and patio, and the positioning of the one large table in the house, which to Van der Laan was of key significance.

The Letterenhuis serves as the literary archive of Flanders. It brings people together around literary heritage by collaborating with many diverse partners to collect, preserve and disclose the collection. The previously large, empty space on the ground floor has been transformed into a dynamic public area. The Letterenhuis now welcomes visitors with a themed exhibition and includes a newly established reading room, workshop space, meeting room, shared office space, co-creation space, and writing room. The graphic design concept is rooted in the letter as the foundation for authorship and the genesis of literature. The terms ‘Letteren’ and ‘Letterenhuis’ are employed to create geometric patterns, called ‘Moving Type Structures’, which allude to the historical convergence of experimental typography and literature. The artist book ECHTZEIT was created in close collaboration with Dirk Braeckman, in conjunction with his solo show at FOMU. ‘ECHTZEIT’ refers to Braeckman’s exploration of the intersection of the past and present. Simultaneously and in real-time, three perspectives converge: those of the original photographer, Braeckman himself, and us, the viewers. The book offers a unique glimpse into Dirk Braeckman’s most recent photographs, accompanied by selections from the museum’s collection and texts written by Clément Chéroux, director of the Foundation Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Tamara Berghmans, curator at FOMU. The book’s design mirrors the structure of the exhibition, beginning with archive documents followed by 140 works by Dirk Braeckman and accompanying texts. The archives and texts are printed in two colors—silver and black—on Munken paper, while Arctic paper was chosen for the artworks. Graphic design by Reg Herygers. Published by Hopper&Fuchs, Bruno Devos.

The art of taking side ways, exploring the possibilities of two-dimensional forms in three dimensions. Shifting and evolving, moving back and forth between autonomous projects and more applied and functional designs. Happy end-of-year everyone!
