Last night we hosted something special. A room full of people willing to face the truth. In collaboration with @storyhouselive , we screened People’s Emergency Briefing here in Chester -bringing together community members, councillors, business leaders, and the press. And one thing became crystal clear: People want the truth. The whole truth. And nothing but the truth about the climate and nature crisis. Because only then… can we begin to respond. The film does this brilliantly, sharing the latest science in a way that is human, honest, and impossible to ignore. But what happened after the screening mattered just as much. We talked. We reflected. We asked difficult questions. And then we asked the room: “What kind of response feels right for you right now?” ➡️ Nothing meaningful to do ➡️ Plenty we can do ➡️ Not sure The response? A resounding: “Plenty we can do.” Starting with calling for a Parliamentary Televised Emergency Briefing. Because as Lt. General Richard Nugee reminds us: “Face the threat that is in front of you, not the threat as you would wish it to be.” We’ve agreed to meet again soon. Because this conversation doesn’t end here.
