It’s new year new chew for Sid and Nancy! I’ve teamed up with @omnipetcare_ and their vets this #Veganuary to test a new 90 day challenge: transitioning my dogs to a plant-based diet. Not only is it better for the planet, but it can be great for a dogs health too. I’ll also be trying out their range of supplements, keeping notes, and reporting here on their progress over the coming weeks. Why not join us in this challenge yourselves– new first time customers to Omni can get 50% off using code 90DAY at checkout*. omni.pet (link in bio) *T&Cs apply– discount only applies to first unit of each product. #ad

@coopuk has an amazing opportunity to change. It is looking for a new CEO. But after two membership votes against the use of Frankenchickens, this once ethical retailer has still not listened. Let's hope that can change. Thank you @chrisgpackham2 for explaining. Head over to The Humane League UK's website to join the fight against Frankenchickens. .uk/Chickens-deserve-better

Is that a mullein moth celebrating, we hear? 👀 In his latest #MakeAMetreMatter update, Chris Packham, Chief Ecologist at Ecotalk, plants mullein at Downicary in Devon – a tough, drought-loving plant that supports pollinators and could even attract the striking mullein moth and its colourful caterpillars. At Downicary, Ecotalk is restoring over-grazed land into wet woodland and richer habitats for nature. Chris is also monitoring a metre of semi-ancient woodland on Ecotalk’s site at Bowyers Wood in Sussex, and will be sharing his plans for a metre at home too, too. Make A Metre Matter is supported by the green mobile network, Ecotalk, and partnered with 30x30 UK, helping secure more space for nature across the UK. Ready to start your own metre? Register now at GardenersWorld.com and tell us what you’ll plant in yours in the comments.

ACT NOW for wildlife and Woodcock! Consultation deadline: 17 May. Woodcock – a red-listed species of high conservation concern in the UK have declined by 35% over the last 20 years. Despite this, they're still being shot. Wild Justice has been lobbying the government for a reduction in the shooting season of Woodcock and other endangered birds. The government have listened and opened a consultation. Please go to the link in bio for more information about how you can make a difference for Woodcock and many other declining species. Thank you.

“I imagined it would end a long, long time ago.” - @chrisgpackham2 It was a pleasure to have Chris speak at our event on Saturday, bringing together the anti-hunt community in solidarity and determination. As he said, it is now up to us. We must respond to the government’s consultation and make it absolutely clear to MPs that we want hunting animals with hounds ended for good. Use the link in our bio 👆 The time for change is now.
