In his latest #MakeAMetreMatter update, Chris Packham, Chief Ecologist at Ecotalk, plants mullein at Downicary in Devon – a tough, drought-loving plant that supports pollinators and could even attract the striking mullein moth and its colourful caterpillars.
At Downicary, Ecotalk is restoring over-grazed land into wet woodland and richer habitats for nature. Chris is also monitoring a metre of semi-ancient woodland on Ecotalk’s site at Bowyers Wood in Sussex, and will be sharing his plans for a metre at home too, too.

Wild Justice has been lobbying the government for a reduction in the shooting season of Woodcock and other endangered birds. The government have listened and opened a consultation.
