"Studying Geography BSc at the university of Chester has taken me to lots of places I never knew existed, with the recent trip to Llanberis, Wales being no exception! The trip was a great chance to take a break from lectures and enjoy a day out with friends whilst learning about the history and impact of humans on the historic valley 😁☀️📙
From the shear slopes, to engineering projects (Dams 🌊🧱), to the huge marks that humans have had on the landscape (Mountains/Hills carved out into mega mines!🗻⛏️) this trips has really made me appreciate the scale of human impacts on the landscape; whilst still being engaging and informative thanks to the great lecturers🧑🏫🙂”

🎉 The University of Chester is celebrating after enjoying success at this year’s Educate North Awards (ENAs).
The University was announced the winner of the Student Experience Award – University Sector, for the Chester Credentials Nano-credentials project. Chester Credentials is a cross-university, student-centred suite of short, online nano-credentials that develop work ready skills through employer visible digital certificates. Award judges commended its scale and ambition, highlighting effective collaboration and a scalable model for improving graduate outcomes.
There was further reason to celebrate as Ramitha Nittore Ramnath collected a Highly Commended certificate for University Student Achievement of the Year. Ramitha is an exceptional student leader whose work has transformed student wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement.

An inspirational University of Chester student overcame a stammer to present his research, achieve a Master’s, give a speech at his graduation ceremony and now looks to make a difference by contributing to advances in medicine.
Aaron Agbanu recently graduated from the University with a Master of Science in Haematology, and has made a significant impact on fellow students and staff, being described as an “exceptional student who exemplifies determination, personal and academic growth”.
