Last week we had the opportunity to visit @cambridgeuniversity University of Cambridge as part of the 4th Annual PhD Conference at the Institute of Criminology
The cast of Ego’s Killing the Mandem shared extracts from the play followed by a Q&A exploring Black masculinity, mental health and the power of theatre to open up conversation.
Thank you to all of the PhD students, researchers and organisers for welcoming us so warmly and engaging so openly with the work.

Ego’s Killing the Mandem continues...
The company recently took part in the two-day symposium at Royal Holloway University @royalholloway of London: Local Theatres: Participation, Imagination, Inclusion, bringing together researchers and theatre-makers exploring the role of theatre in local communities.
The cast performed extracts from the play written by our Associate @socialrichy Richard Adetunji in front of researchers and theatre-makers, followed by a Q&A that opened up honest conversation, reflection on the play and the importance of our work. It was a chance for the work to sit inside a wider dialogue and it held.
Next stop… a very well-known university 👀 More soon.
If you’re a university, educational or community setting interested in us visiting, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Hi Trybe friends and family
We wanted to share something really special.
The brilliant @bagsofsoul60 partner of the late, great Stephen S. Thompson, will be taking on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge this May, walking 65 miles in one go, to raise money for Trybe House Theatre.
Stephen was an incredible playwright, known to many for Sitting in Limbo, and someone whose work continues to resonate deeply.
We feel genuinely humbled that Kass has chosen to do this in his honour and in support of our work.
If you’re able to support we would grateful.

Yikes! I’m walking this route (65 miles) in ONE day to complete the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge on 2/3 May. Walking through the night to hopefully complete in 28 hours. 🚶🏻♀️
It’s a personal challenge and a chance to raise money for @trybehouse with whom I have a connection through the work of my late partner @stephenthompson520
Visit my Just Giving page (link in bio) for more details and to donate to support the amazing work they do. 🙏🏻
It’s HUGELY appreciated and will massively help me keep going when the physical/psychological battle really kicks in at 2am with 17 hours done and another 11 or so still to go! 😳
Thank you SO much. 😍

Join us on our trip to BBC Radio London where we joined @jaxxsheps for a heartfelt interview where we discussed all things Trybe! We had an amazing time! To the 🌍 and back! You can find the full interview via the BBC Radio London website
Today we had the privilege of delivering a lecture to Arts Management students at Goldsmiths University @goldsmithsuol .It was fantastic to have such an engaged group of academics with us!
It certainly felt full circle being able to champion our work, our methodology and most importantly our Trybe members!
We also explored the complexed interplay between the psychosocial challenges for Young Black Men and the role of creative expression in creating platforms for positive wellbeing. An engaging, critical and reflective session!
We look forward to being back!
