Another beautiful morning in #cairns with our favourite people 🫶 650 baby #nativetrees flew into the ground within the hour, leaving lots of time for chats, cake and #conservation camaraderie 🌱 @fightforourreef representative Tanya, took over the smoko talks this morning, helping us understand how the good work we do on land, helps protect our magnificent #greatbarrierreef and endangered seagrass meadows 🐢🐳 @marineconservation.au are calling for better #environment policy and laws, to further help mitigate sediment and erosion from entering our waterways, and smothering our reef 🪸 Be sure to head to their page and sign the petition 👉 Keep an eye on our socials for our final planting at this site, and for this grant, which is proudly sponsored by @bupaaustralia and @landcareaustralia , and supported by @cairnscouncil 🙏 We plant on Yirriganydji country, and pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging ❤️💛🖤

Another stunning Sunday morning spent well with our #treeplanting besties 🌱❤️ 650 native trees flew into the boggy, wet ground in absolutely no time at all! Leaving lots of time for snacks and chats with our favourite people (and for Sarah and friends to get the ute and trailer unbogged..🤣) 🌏🍰 Be sure to join us in a couple of weeks, for more planting fun at our @bupaaustralia and @landcareaustralia funded site and help us finish this urban corridor building project 🤞🦎 Keep an eye on our FB events and your email to stay in the loop 📮 Also big thanks to @cairnscouncil for letting us restore this patch 🙏 We plant on Djabugay Nations land and pay our respects to the many thousands of years past and those still to come, caring for country 🖤💛❤️

Another stunning morning in #cairns #restoringnature 🌱🌏 We kicked off a new site near the Freshwater Christian College, finally jumping across the highway to help widen our urban #biodiversity corridors along Freshwater Creek 🦎🐦🐀 An easy 650 #nativetrees flew into the ground and we had a lovely catch up with our fellow tree planting #community 🪏 See you in two weeks, 8am March 15, same place, same time. Check our FB event for more details 📆 This planting is funded by @bupaaustralia and @landcareaustralia and supported by @cairnscouncil 🙏 Treeforce acknowledges and pays respect to the Djabugay Nations Traditional Owners, and to all of their elders past, present and emerging.

As always, it's an absolute joy to join the annual @cafnec FNQ Environment Roundtable and connect with other #conservation groups in the region 🌱🙏 The roundtable brings everyone together, allowing us to learn about which areas we all look after, our focus for the following year and how we can collaborate for a more unified and supported approach 🌏 #cairns #environment #wettropics #theresnoplanetb

And that's a wrap for 2025 🌱🎉 Treeforce volunteers have planted a whopping 12500 baby native trees this year!! 💪🥰 A mammoth effort, thank you for all of your dedication, passion and for wanting to help #conservation in your #local patch 🙏🙏 Today was super hot, super sunny and our awesome #volunteers pitched in to get the job finished, well done ✅👏 Our wonderful friends at @cafnec and the @marineconservation.au shouted us a very yummy morning tea and shared what the new federal #environment laws overhaul means for #protection of our beloved #greatbarrierreef and #wettropics 🐡🌴 And, well, we think @mattsmithmp and the Labor Party can do a lot better to protect our environment from deforestation, then what has been put on the table 📝 Make sure you let @mattsmithmp know what you think before the close off date for feedback or comments! You can head to @cafnec or @fightforourreef for more info on how to #haveyoursay 📢 Thank you all again for another huge year, #restoringnature and see you in Feb 2026 👋 This planting was funded by the @qldgov and supported by @cairnscouncil 🙏 We planted on Yirrganydji country today, and pay our respects 🖤❤️💛
