"I can't wait to grow old with you" 🄹 @lexicalentry @transzforma [Visual description: A couple sits on a vintage couch with floral wallpaper. Zad sits on the left. He is a Black trans man with short, curly hair, wearing a dark green button-up shirt and gray pants. Lexi sits on the right. She is a Black trans woman with slightly longer than shoulder length curly hair. She is wearing a black tank top that reads "respect Black trans women, protect Black trans women, love Black trans women, and thank Black trans women."] Transcript: Lexi: We have a lot of conversations where we are saying, like, "I can't wait to grow old with you." Like...when I met Zad, he didn't have this many gray hairs... Zad: (chuckles) Lexi: But now, like, I'm looking at him and I was like, "Oh my gosh, you look like a father." (laughs) And soon, like, you're gonna be, like, very salt and pepper. I can't wait to grow old with you, like- Zad: (chuckles) I'm excited for it. I'm like, "Bring it on." I don't even hide my white hairs anymore. I'm like, "Let's just rock with it." Lexi: It hits very differently as not just, like, to take it to, like, the reality of, like, trans people, but I'm turning thirty-five next year...and the, like, life expectancy for Black trans women is...thirty-five. And I- I- I'd never before, like, having the safety of our relationship and having the safety of the communities that we've built our lives around, thought about myself living to be forty...forty-five...fifty...and so yeah, I think about it every day. I look at him when I wake up, and I see, like, a new gray hair, and I'm like, "Oh my god. We're growing old. That's so exciting. Zad: Yeah, it is.

Hi y’all – I’m really excited to share that I’m now taking on clients at a discounted rate from June to August! Since getting certified last year, I’ve been thinking about the things that I wish were considered and talked about openly in the fitness community. Our bodies are so nuanced, complex and unique, there’s no point in holding so many different people to the same standards. When it comes to queer and trans bodies, there are so many pressures about how we *should* look, and less discussion of what helps us to feel empowered and embodied. Thinking about all of these questions is how Bull Fitness came to life. šŸ¤— Check out the slides in this post and if this kind of movement practice sounds like something that is aligned with your values and your needs - fill out the interest form in my bio and let’s connect :) Thank you to @lexicalentry for helping me get this idea off the ground 🄰 #transisbeautiful #lgbtqfiness #queer #allbodiesarewelcome #bodyliberation #gym #fitnessmotivation #transfitness #qtbipoc #inclusivefitness

"I’ve been completely changed by the love that we've built together." 🄹 Follow for 3 new videos every week šŸŽ¬ For a deeper dive, watch Lexi & Zad's FULL INTERVIEW on YouTube! [Visual description: A couple sits on a vintage couch with floral wallpaper. Zad sits on the left. He is a Black trans man with short, curly hair, wearing a dark green button-up shirt and gray pants. Lexi sits on the right. She is a Black trans woman with slightly longer than shoulder length curly hair. She is wearing a black tank top that reads "Respect Black trans women, protect Black trans women, love Black trans women, thank Black trans women."] Transcript: Zad: I know there’s a lot of transfemmes that don’t know that they’re deserving of love in ways that are not extractive. I know there’s a lot of trans boys that feel like they have to perform a certain way, or a certain layer of masculinity, to be able to be in relationship. I say: try not to perform and see how it goes. I lowered my guards with Lexi. It really felt like I was discovering different parts of myself as I was…getting to know you. And, yeah. So, that’s how I felt about falling in love with you. Lexi: I was just like, ā€œOh. I’m, like, head over heels.ā€ It just felt really special, but I’ve been completely changed by the love that Zad has showed me and the love that we’ve built together. We’ve been conditioned to experience transness or, like, queerness as this thing that we have to sort of, like, subdue in order to receive the love that we deserve. No, like…show up with all of it, and the people who are- who are there for you are gonna be the ones who stick with you, and those are the relationships that are going to really matter. Consistency matters — but *your* version of consistency matters more. Progress isn’t always linear, sometimes it’s just moving a little bit more, a little more intentionally, and with sustainability in mind. If this resonates, comment ā€œinterested.ā€ Let’s build habits that fit your life šŸ¤— Original video by @maju.brothers ! Go give them a follow

Fitness tea time! Let’s talk about a trend that we need to leave in 2025 šŸ¤ā˜•ļø Your body story is more than a transformation reel, and everybody needs something different. The most powerful changes come from sustainable habit shifting, responding to your body’s evolving needs, and building with long-term health in mind — not by chasing aesthetics. If you’re looking for sustainable strength building, comment ā€œassessmentā€!

Your bones deserve just as much care as your muscles. šŸ¤— A conversation with family this week reminded me how common bone injuries become with age — and how even small changes you introduce to your life can prevent them. If you’re ready for a personalized training plan that meets you and your body where they’re at, comment ā€œassessmentā€ below!

This summer had a life-changing injury. While doing what I love—go-go dancing—I dislocated my knee and had a full tear of my medial patellar femoral ligament. Suddenly my life that was so full of movement and activity came crashing to a halt. Thankfully, I had a community of people mobilize to get me medical attention and a team to support me and get me back on my feet. Since then I’ve learned a lot: 1. A lot of my sense of self was tied to my productivity. I was pushing myself harder than I should have for a long time in the name of productivity, and it took a toll on my body. I wasn’t listening to the pain in my knee that preceded my injury. 2. It’s hard to ask for help. After my injury, I was supported by so many friends, family, and strangers. So many people stepped up, slowed down, held the door, gave up their seat, and accommodated my requests to make sure I could still show up at my own pace. 3. Disability is a spectrum. Disability can be permanent, temporary, or situational. This injury challenged my internalized ableism and taught me to practice creating accessibility. One small way that shows us is that now when I program a class or a workout I always bring an alternative in case folks need modifications. 4. Advocate for yourself. Navigating the medical industrial complex is hard, especially while under stress. Each step of the way I had people make sure I was seen and heard. My partner came with me to the ER and follow-up appointments, friends helped me advocate for my knee immobilizer, my fitness community helped me understand my MRI so I could go to my orthopedic appointment feeling empowered. 5. Movement is key. Once cleared by my medical team, I was moving as much as I could. Not moving can lead to scar tissue buildup and stiffness. Don’t let your injury stop you from living your life and doing the things you love. Do your best to keep moving, just try to think and plan ahead! BONUS: Do your PT! To this day PT is really hard to prioritize, but I feel the difference when I skip even one day.

Had such a fun time dancing on Saturday at @hrt_prty !! But also in an unexpected turn of events, I dislocated my knee and was rushed to the ER (thank you to my guardian angels @lexicalentry @qween_jean and @ladiosajustina for getting me there safely and making sure I got the care I needed). It will be at least a few weeks before I can get back to normal activities. Nightlife dancing and personal training are my main sources of income but for the foreseeable future I’ll have to take a break and focus on healing 😭 If anyone wants to help your boy out with funds while I recover or has capacity to help me get to doctor’s appointments (eg if you’re willing to drive me, as I can’t walk long enough to take the subway) it would be appreciated šŸ˜”šŸ«¶šŸ¾ V€nmo: @zad -carney
