Love getting to play with lighting, movement and color, and always a laughter filled time making the most vibey and fierce shots with @vanilla.honey A celestial being, transformed in the ether, finding a new home in the obscure alignment.

Still gooped and gagged over how these came out. @thedylangong and I creating mythical characters together. Using a combination of strobe lighting, aperture f8-13 range and a shutter around 1/30 to 1s, these came out so deep and ethereal. Literally so many more we did, I’ll save for now. The work I put in from climbing and from messing with my hormones the last few years. It’s been like welcoming my body and face back home. Where did they even go? I hope the club was fun while they were out. But maybe like the whole time I was just reverting back to a place where I could relax my insides. I finally came out to my parents. I told my mom who probably told my dad and my dad likes to larp as a spy so It’s been a known secret. My faggotry and confused genderism ideology. The type of thing latine parents don’t want to talk about. I think they choose not to understand in some ways and some ways I’m sure they’re just scared. My mom told me and others that she always wanted a daughter. And so I am and I demand to be seen. I can only control that demand. Not even how any person sees me. How I am flattened in one single picture. I think about this all the time. Who makes it safe to make the demand of being seen. I don’t know if it actually is safe or if things just happen that you live with. And you just look out for each other best as you can. But there really is no choice but to be seen. I think about who saw me first. I think it was Jesse. Others too in small ways. And I think about how being seen is literally all there is. What even exists outside of that. It’s the only reason I’m here. Because a tgirl fought, lived and died for my freedoms. So I am patriotic to those who demanded to be seen. In this place filthy with commodified breathing. Enjoying my grams of protein and my subscription to a brainstem. I hope I am seen but I’ll settle for the demand to it.

Had a year in blue, obsessed with this look. Noir the common denominator and I probably won’t stop anytime soon. So hmu if you want to collab as I continue portfolio building my still work. All shot in studio with strobe. For me, blue has been transforming bodies into deities. And of course, everyone I got to work with last year is fabulous, so not hard to do that. Abaddon in blue with Yen. Taken for ourselves. This is a character I’ve been sitting on for a while. She is a reincarnated form of the demon abaddon who lives in the abyss. In my portrayal she is the origin of all creative inspiration looking for the people she wants to haunt with insight. This retelling of a biblically evil creature into a neutral heroine is my favorite way of reclaiming my upbringing in evangelical christianity. Rewriting the lore of divine beings embodied by the divine @yen_sennyyyyyy . I’m doing more writing these days so the attempt is to put intentionality behind my personal work. And I love having personal projects separate from survival work as a way to own my labor. So if you read this far, hit me up and let’s make something. 💖 Last, the camera technique was to shoot these with a slow shutter speed ranging from 1.3 seconds to 1/15. Staying at an aperture no faster than f7. I noticed at anything closer to f22, the light trail effect was reduced. Shot with a strobe and canon camera on a cold night.
