Quain “Chef Beanz” Bevans Jr. is an author, producer, director, entrepreneur, and storyteller focused on creating intentional consumption through his work. Originally from Camden, New Jersey and now based in Los Angeles, he is the creator of Transparency, a platform that has evolved from a digital series into a sold-out live stage experience performed in cities across the country.
Through storytelling and production, Quain creates spaces that challenge audiences to engage with honesty, perspective, and human connection in a more intentional way.

A journey to say the least.. this process has been challenging yet rewarding. Every time I question if I’m on the right path or doing the right thing, there’s always a sign to keep going.
S/O to the amazing cast & crew for dedicating themselves to the craft for months to help bring the story to life! S/O @atthedeluxe for opening their doors and helping us elevate the experience.
And of course s/o to @im_briana_monet & her non-profit organization @innerspace.studios for co-producing and making magic happen. In addition to show, we were able to provide over 300 meals for the @starofhopemission in Houston as well as get tickets sponsored for over 30 @tsutheatre students! We even made it to Times Square 😉🚀
As ordinary people, we will continue to do extraordinary things no matter the journey ahead. We just gotta keep goin..

A long way from packing up and moving to Cali with a couple hundred in the account.. but we’re here.
A long way from spending my last on a restaurant booth and using my air mattress as a back drop.. but we’re here.
A long way from writing my first play in the notepad of my phone.. but WE’RE HERE.
In Times Square NYC promoting Transparency the Play HTX. This moment brought me to tears. Not just for being proud but an ode to resilience. Grateful for the present but also foreshadowing what’s to come.

Well it all started when two guys tried to surprise their friend for the opening weekend of his play. They were diligent and determined to catch him off guard.
But he was on point. Nothing gets past him..
They were not happy once they discovered that their plan had been exposed so they chased him all the way to the theatre for opening night and contributed to the sold out weekend!
Mission Accomplished.
At the end of the day, they’re all just Boyz n The Cafe.”

*Trigger Warning* There’s a saying that goes, “You don’t have to look like what you’ve been through.” Our outer expression rarely reflects our inner feelings. Poised and put together is seemingly more relaxing to others but what does it do to oneself? What can happen when your motions are suppressed?
Self-Transitioning is rising on the daily but we want whoever is listening and needs assistance to know that you are appreciated, loved, and valued. You do not have to suffer in silence. There are resources readily available so again, understand that you are not alone and your life is worth living.
