Transcend Borders

On Tuesday 15th July, we will be hosting another evening event from 7pm as a pre-Trans Pride event to kick off Brighton Trans Pride held later in that week! ⚧︎ ☆ This time, we’re doing it as a collaboration with our comrades @brightonqueers4palestine ♡ We have an exciting bill made up of amazing local artists, and as usual the lineup is all QTIPOC: Not Sarah @notsarah.co.uk Tia Ice @tiaice_soulnspice Leyla Fey @leyla.fey Prince of Persia @theprinceofp3rsia Gilan @herecomesgilan Miz Lexia @fashionforserialkillers DJ Nikki @nikkixjam and hosted by the incredible @nissfox Please note: the venue will be released to ticket holders. Please note that the venue is located in central Brighton, and as stated is wheelchair accessible, with bus routes going within a short distance of the venue. Tickets are pay what you can - no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The suggested ticket donation is £12. Get tickets from the QR code or in our bio! If you are in a financial position to donate more - please do. As always, this event is to help raise funds for TNBI (Trans, Non-binary & Intersex) Refugee/Asylum Seekers to afford gender-affirming care. With a little twist, we will be collaborating with Brighton Queers for Palestine - a brilliant mutual aid and activist initiative in solidarity with Palestinians. They focus on educating, fundraising and acting with the liberation of Palestinians at the forefront, with a connection to Queer Palestinians as Queer People. Everyone is welcome, and the venue is wheelchair-accessible! We are happy to help with any questions or requests if you reach out to either Brighton Queers for Palestine (@brightonqueers4palestine ) or Transcend Borders (@transcend.borders ). All funds at our events go directly towards recipients who are TNBI and seeking asylum towards their gender-affirming care and directly towards Palestinian aid. We can’t wait to see you there!

We are stoked to have none other than @anserineband opening the night for us and our sweet friends @com.ic.sans make their brighton return to support london legends @theoozes first brighton show in 2026!! All proceeds from this show will be going towards @transcend.borders , this organisation does incredible work in brighton so if you can’t make this show please check out their page and donate to their fundraiser in their linktree This show is going to be HUGE so we will see you at the Hope and Ruin at 7:30pm on the 18th June!! Really fucking happy to announce that @cloudedisaband have joined the lineup for Black Cat Fest 2026!! 🐈‍⬛🎟️ One of the only POC led hardcore bands in the scene in Brighton, and they’re really excellent. Pulling from the early 2000s metal core sound with heartbreaking lyrics and harsh shock chords, they’re becoming scene faves very quickly. Stay tuned. We’ve got loads more announcements to make.

BLACK CAT SPOTLIGHT: Princess Xixi Princess Xixi is a London-based rapper, writer, DJ and producer known for her incisive lyricism and chaotic, genre-terrorrising sound rooted in UK bass, grime, hyperpop and more. A co-founder of London's premiere QTPOC-led rave collective Bumpah, she is known for building community-driven platforms outside of typical industry spaces, with her firmly anti-hierarchy, anti-clout, anti-gatekeeping, anti-dogma stance permeating everything she does. Catch her at Black Cat Fest this July 3rd! The first wave of tickets sold out very fast, but good news is the second wave has just dropped! Get 'em before they're gone!

We are FINALLY announcing our very first collab festival between KVLL COLONISERS, Death Before Detransition and Transcend Borders: Black Cat Fest 🐈‍⬛🏴 This is going to be one of the biggest mobilising events this year, and we recommend getting tickets in advanced. There will be a mix of hip hop, hardcore, emo, punk, electronic, as well as stalls and talks from antifascist/anti colonial groups. IMPORTANT: There are cheap tickets available for POC, and FREE tickets available for low income migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Location: @volksnightclub and @daltonsbrighton Date and time: 3rd July, 1pm-11pm Access information: This is a multi venue festival at Daltons and Volks. The accessibility information of both is as follows: Daltons: Access to venue via ramp to the right of Brighton Zip down to sea front level. All areas of the venue are accessible. There is an accessible toilet, seating available, welfare space, staff trained to assist and personalise service for accessible customers Volks: Level access from street to venue. Main areas of the venue including bars, smoking area and dancefloor are accessible. There are no accessible toilets within the venue. Public toilets are located 20 metres from venue and are open until 20:00. ITS HERE!!!🥳✨A fantastic line up, Open Mic wild cards, Secret surprise guest & raising money for a good cause. Could you want anything more? This event is fundraising for accesibility aids, thanking all those who’ve contributed and celebrating the beauty of community. A fantastic Selection of Spoken Word, Drag, singers and much more! There’s an open mic wild cards along with the performers. Where folks can sign up with a chance to perform! Message ahead or sign up on the night! Whilst the event was planned months ago to raise funds for my wheelchair after being house bound all spring and most of summer. With little independence and freedom, as well as using a dangerously old wheelchair for years. The generosity of the community hit my target meaning we can now raise funds for another community member to receive the same freedom, liberation and access I was blessed with. Along with celebrairing and thanking everyone who contributed.

Round-up from our July 15th pre-Trans Pride event with @brightonqueers4palestine ★ We’re still buzzing from what was such a powerful and joyful evening ♡ Thank you to every single one of you who came through, danced, donated, performed, had a stall, volunteered and shared space with us. Thank you to Mia for the incredible photography. You all made it electric. This was a special one – our first ever collab event with BQ4P @brightonqueers4palestine , and it was nothing short of beautiful. We had a stacked lineup of amazing talent who absolutely tore it up: @not ­sarah.co.uk @tiaice_soulnspice @leyla.fey @theprinceofp3rsia @herecomesgilan @fashionforserialkillers And it was all held together and guided by the incredible @nissfox ♡ Thank you all for your brilliance and your artistry – what a night. Together, we raised over £1300, to be split between Brighton Queers for Palestine and our fund for TNBI asylum seekers accessing gender-affirming care. We are so grateful. ♡ Huge love to everyone who helped make the night happen, and to all of you for showing up again and again. Thank you to @daltonsbrighton for hosting us yet again and being as fantastic as always. These spaces only exist because of us, and what we build together. There was so much joy and community in that room – we really felt it. And as ever – thank you to our anonymous donors who continue to make it possible for us to donate in significant amounts.
