💕 hi i’m ishaani, i work 9 to 5 but live paycheck to paycheck, paying rent for a flatshare in outer London so i have no disposable income otherwise i would never ask for this. i’ve wanted to get gender affirming surgery for 10+ years here’s my timeline age 0-14 daily anxiety-inducing dysphoria, religious conservative environment at home & school, dropped out of school for a year & was diagnosed with anorexia and OCD aged 8 14-16 identified privately as trans 17-20 repression and depression 21-23 left uni, worked and saved to move out before medical transition 24-26 i start HRT, first DIY then on the NHS the surgery i need isn’t available on the NHS, and the UK’s only private FFS clinic recently closed, so I’m planning to travel to a hospital in East Asia, which is cheaper. all funds will be used to pay directly for the surgery (i hope to pay flights and accommodation out of my own pocket, but in the unlikely event there’s any left over after paying for surgery i will spend it on that) thank you so much to everyone who donated to the previous fundraiser -it’s all gone towards the surgery deposit. i now have a quote from Kamol Hospital, so making this new gfm with a lower specific amount. i hope to raise this amount by may 2026 or i will have to unfortunately delay the surgery due to lack of funds <3 please consider matching any donation you make to me with the PCRF 🇵🇸 thank you for reading ❤️

Opening this weekend: Lucy Rose Shaftain-Fenner's new film 'Tgirls Make Music' (2026) is exhibiting at @arnolfiniarts in Bristol ✨📣 @tgirlsmakemusicfilm is a documentary about trans woman rapper and producer @htmljones (Ishaani Ponniah), framed through the visual language of early-2000s television, 2010s internet aesthetics, and contemporary British culture. The core of the work is an interview with htmljones hosted by trans woman and director Lucy Rose Shaftain-Fenner @lucyhtml on the fictional ‘T4T (Trans for Trans) Network’, edited to replicate a TV talk show format and interspersed with htmljones’ live musical performances. The conversations captured during the interview are intimate and direct, split up by regular bumper ‘ad breaks’. Across the work, questions of trans, lesbian and furry visibility, self-representation and cultural memory are held open rather than resolved.
