Planning for 2026 begins Monday!
I met Bird while I was living downtown. He lived in the same apartment complex. Upon meeting, I told him about the best burger in the city and a few days later, he came over for a few beers and we, along with a few other new friends from the building, went to Johnny’s Little Bar for some burgers. This was the beginning of not only a Friday night tradition, but of new, lasting friendships.
Over the last few years, Bird has been one of my most loyal friends… showing up to support me on stage, bailing me out of precarious situations, and answering the phone at 2am when I needed his advice on how to handle an injured seagull I found.
Bird showed me true friendship in the time I’ve known him and it pains me that our friendship is put on hold until I meet him in the next life.
Bird will always be a legend. 🕊️
