Lakeside Darkroom work and workshop part 2! Giovanni (messi) Messina @unfoldingoftime Camera: Minox 35 GT(800- 1st edition) from 1981 series of the smallest 35 mm full frame analog cameras ever made Film: Kentmere Pan 400 shot at box speed, but halving the shutter speed while still developing normally to compensate the internal light meter that under exposes one stop-Ish by default as I’m using a higher than required voltage battery pack totaling 6V as a specific battery for these cameras don’t exist anymore ( should be using 5.4 V/5.6 V max) I found the solution works well for me, allowing for soft yet clear and rich photographs. Processing: developed at Lakeside darkroom using Rodinol with a energetic agitation passing for six seconds each 20 seconds ratio for seven minutes 30 seconds to get the extra edge of contrasting details in both the highlights and the shadows. I scanned the resulting process negatives at home. Dilly Thain @_dillythain_ Film: Kentmere 400 Camera: Olympus zoom Processing: Developed at Lakeside darkroom, then scanned at @aperture_printing

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So happy to have documented the photowalk event hosted by Lakeside Darkroom and The Photographers’ Gallery. In a time that everything moves so fast, it felt wonderfully old-fashioned and romantic to take a slow walk with people we’d just met (and built a beautiful connection at the end). Each of us carrying our own analogue camera, wandering along Thamesmead, talking, pausing for the swaying willows, horses came across, and the light shimmering on the river. There was no rush, no schedule, just time to see, feel, and create. Later, we returned to the darkroom to develop our films, step by step. The whole process was so healing. I still remember when Stephen pulled his negatives out of the tank and said it was the first roll he’d shot with his grandfather’s camera — after forty years. Thanks everyone who joined, and to @lakeside_darkroom @thephotographersgallery @tpglab for bringing us together through film. #eventphotography #photowalklondon #behindthescene #thamesmead #filmworkshop #35mmfilm #bwphotography #analoglove #canoneos #kentmere400
