This one is extra special. I’m so happy to share my first Director’s Reel!Throughout college and even until now I had a hard time identifying my voice as an artist. Folks always told me they saw it, but I never really did. Sitting back and watching this reel made it so evident to me the unison my films have and reassured me of my purpose.I want to say a huge thank you to @jalenrfilms for editing this reel for me! He has been one of the best collaborators I’ve worked with and has seen me grow immensely over the years.Thank you so much to the DP’s showcased (@jalenrfilms @cal_le0n @cshaw.dop ), who have made it possible for me to have the means to even make a reel!My favorite part of watching this reel is seeing all of the talented individuals who have supported my work (big and small). 2025…thank you ️•This has been one of the most challenging years, but I’m so so grateful for every moment I got to experience. This year, my art has taken me across the country and the world. “Habari Gani?” - A Kwanzaa Short Film ️It’s very fulfilling seeing a concept I’ve pocketed for four years finally come into fruition. The way that movement speaks for the words that don’t exist ️.•I felt so blessed to be able to watch my immensely talented friend’s thesis performance @nysimonee , along with a series of beautiful pieces in her cohort. Thank you to this amazing group for bringing me onto photograph their promotional work.
