New 9 track record out today. 💿 🌱it’s called ‘Modern Gardening’. 9 songs based on allotments. It celebrates and commiserates the life of the allotment me LP, @zacbarfoot and @hello.mr.ben had in Pitsmoor for the best part of 5 years. Our time came to an end on this one but it’s not without having some really lovely times. As per usual done with the help and love of my friends. Rocked out the drums at @studio.tecna with @davidcglover at the wheels. @zacbarfoot drummed and shredded some licks. Loz on Bass and vox. Me doing songs, some clarinet, guitar, monotone voice and mixing. @zacbarfoot on the master. Many thanks to the lads Lloyd, Ben and Zac @bingorecs for putting it out there. Been a while… but playing THREE rock shows as my alter ego ‘Tom Thumb’ (which is just me but in a mildly curated outfit) this weekend with legends @hello.mr.ben and @richard_birkin in our garage rock band @mocktudors . Compostable single out today called ‘Memory Shed’ off a brand new 9 track HIGH CONCEPT/LOW EXECUTION album called ‘Modern Gardening’ coming out September 5th on @bingorecs . This track features my best attempt at playing piano like Elton John, some grunge crunch guitar shredding with the help of @davidcglover from @studio.tecna , some exceptional vox and bass lines to elevate the monotone from Lauren and some poppin drum breaks and mastering from @zacbarfoot . This is a project I started ages ago… then shelved. Then got served eviction notice from the allotment folks (due to lack of cultivation). We started the plot as a four and I just couldn’t take the heat anymore ! So because it is no more I thought what better way to commemorate good times than by finishing some art project that ran parallel to the plot antics. Memories of building a pub with @hello.mr.ben out of pallettes and Zac’s eco bricks , lots of late night bbq and fire pit sessions with the women from the block of flats telling us to “Shut the F**k up”, the main location for infamous internet lockdown show Beans on Toast TV, Peggy Sue’s play days, Lauren’s Giant Squash, and just being able to noodle about trying and failing at living off the land. One day I’ll get back to it - but until then… Lloyd wrote some more eloquent and kind words about it on the bandcamp so ch-ch-ch-check it out. Clams In Their Eyes (@clamsintheireyes ) - the number one grassroots DIY independent venue tribute to stars in their eyes with the most fake glass and amateur wrestling outside of the M25 [and most likely inside.] Was a pleasure swinging a camera about for the screens. Here’s a stack of moments take from a roam about. Plus a crash cam at the after party of a vibe dude rocking to ABBA. Big word to @deliciousclamstagram and @forge.sheffield for hosting. Go support your local venue as they get closed down far too often. Props @xosnakeman360visionxo @crisp_ed @trashking420 and the rest of the crew for putting on such a great show. Congrats to my lovely pal Jack Hartley, @georgehaydockdop and all the crew getting this mint short film ‘Humble Pie’ about a giant pie into Manchester Film Festival. They asked me to make some pie flavoured music for it and so I sat in my beat lab/oven and baked up some insanity using some 3D printed whistles I couldn’t play, some pots and pans and a few samples of a bloke being possessed by a tasty filling. The soundtrack to Humble Pie is called PiesCore, which if you want more chaos is on a little bandcamp page off of my scrappy website. 9 tracks influenced by Humble Pie and all the Gas Marks from 1 to 9. Another work one. Dropping on BBC on Sunday. Had a lovely road trip around Europe with Paddy & Chris and the quality lovely cru. Was on the cams. Big ups to the grafters. 🎥

Little work appreciation post. Feel privileged to have been able to work all over the place on a few projects of late. This one end of last year is out now on Netflix. I assisted and did some additional camera slinging when needed for the lovely @nikporterdop and @dstingemorephoto . Saw some super sights, met some lovely folk, worked with an absolutely class team. Big up to Jose from LA. Managed to take some BTS capturing crew at their most confused and tired states.

‘Welcome to Lunashire’ the latest brain scramble VR project. An immersive art installation upselling you the dream of living in a 1960s Lancashire on the moon. Yes - in my alternative world Lancashire won the space race. Complete with Blackpool tower, Forton Services, Shrimpland (you gotta go to believe it), intergalactic space Vespas and the Ditchburn Jukebox Moon Dept. Thanks to George and Carolyn at @mirador_arts for trusting in my nonsense. Lauren for all the art direction and helping me stay sane at moments when I was considering launching a few computers off a tall building. ‘Astra Luna and the Syphonettes’ for the music. AKA me, Loz, @richard_birkin , @zacbarfoot , @hot.soles.uk Kieran, @hello.mr.ben and @teslarecording . I thrust my arms around and said do this and do that a bit and we managed to rip off Joe Meek sufficiently in one session. It’s being exhibited at @lancasteruni Library tomorrow and Saturday, then @lightuplanc November and Blackpool after that. A very quick teaser and some shots of the project inside and out.
