A collective of Sheffield’s grassroots music venues has come together to form the Sheffield Independent Venues Alliance (SIVA), a new partnership dedicated to championing, supporting, and securing the future of the city’s independent music culture.
At a time when music venues across the UK are under threat from rising costs, development pressures, and changing nightlife habits, Sheffield’s independent venues are sending a different message: strength through solidarity. By working together, the venues aim to ensure the city’s music culture continues to thrive for artists, audiences, residents and visitors.
FORGE is proud to be a founding member of SIVA.
Throwback to this time last week when we had @fredagainagainagain and @_kettama in the warehouse, plus support from @miafeaseyxo and a special appearance from AmyL of @amylandthesniffers !
It doesn’t get much better than that for a Thursday evening. Thanks to everyone who came down and made it an impeccable vibe on the night.

Accessibility at Cryptid Queers
We are just one day away from our first event of the year! Below is our accessibility info. If you have any questions or need assistance, just drop us a message.
• FORGE Warehouse is a fully accessible venue with step-free access throughout.
• Accessible toilet available in the toilet block.
• Seating: This is a standing event but benches are available at the front for disabled guests or those with health concerns. You can reserve a seat for free when purchasing your ticket.
• Wheelchair spaces are always available - no need to reserve in advance.
• Welfare Area located near the main entrance which is there for anyone needing first aid or respite from the sound levels.
• Quiet Spaces: While we don’t have a chill out room, the courtyards offer some relief from sound levels, and the Welfare Area is also available for anyone needing a quiet space.
• Captions: All acts feature captions displayed on stage at the top of the screen.
• Lighting: We do not use strobe lighting at our events.
• No Talking Policy: To ensure an accessible and immersive experience, we have a strict no-talking rule during performances (but feel free to cheer and whoo!)
• Minimising Sound Bleed: Room Two will be closed during performances to prevent distracting noise.
Our fantastic stage manager team and the wonderful staff at FORGE are always on hand if you need assistance.

🌟Thanks to the team at @forge.sheffield and all the Andro & Eve crew and volunteers for all their work in the run up to and during the event - you’re amazing!
💜 This 10 year anniversary celebration felt really special. Which is why it's hard to share that this event made a loss of £1.5k. Because of this we are asking for your support, and have today launched a crowdfunder.
We need to raise £2k by 1 June to cover our losses‼️
Despite receiving grant funding to support the Extravaganza and our programme of creative activity in Sheffield and Doncaster between Oct 2025 - May 2026, project costs outstripped the contingency we built in.
We’ve been working hard to cover and reduce as many costs as we could, but to have cut any further would have meant not paying artists fair rates, or reducing our access budget, which would have compromised our values.
We need this support now to help restore financial stability, giving us a chance to generate revenue through other avenues. Andro and Eve is only a tiny organisation, and we do not hold enough reserves to cover these costs. These losses threaten our future.
🌈A donation means we can keep working to make accessible spaces that bring joy, queer art and community connection to Sheffield and South Yorkshire.

It’s Thursday again, as I’ve finished my run of Hospitality/ Rumble moments from the beginning of the Easter bank holiday weekend, I thought it was only fitting to use Thursdays to throw back to some of my favourite events I’ve had the privilege to film.
I wanted to start with last years DnB BBQ in Sheffield. Organised by the Razed crew and a few other sound systems at Forge. Such an incredible event. I’m so excited for this year. To attend as a raver and dance me wee heart out. The vibes were high all day. Filming this event last year brought back all my love & reminded me why I do this in the first place.
Anyway enough yapping by me. Let’s start with The Sauce and the mighty Fox on the mic. There was too many sets I could have chosen to start with. I also realised when going through these clips I had to use some of my newly learned techniques in sound to help reduce how powerful the audio was. @sinaisound is such a powerful system. You can proper feel the bass…
That’s the biggest thing to understand in this line of work. You’ll always make mistakes. Some mistakes are inevitable and they help you grow and learn. Some are fixable, some are incredibly embarrassing ahaha. It’s all apart of the gig. It’s just super important people communicate with each other and give grace where it’s needed.
My final point I want to make is, I love filming from the crowd. To me, it sounds the best, it looks the best & it’s always so much fun being amongst the crowd. It is pretty dangerous at times, flying drinks and that ahaha. I also hate how most monitors never sound as good as it does when you’re facing the stacks.. 🤪
