Some photos from some of my favourite drag moments over the past year. Ensue emotional ramblings:
Five years ago I remember watching a drag show and thinking of how much I had always wanted to perform, but genuinely believing it was something I’d never get the chance to do.
Then a year ago I applied to a call out post for debut performers by @dirtdykesleeds and saying yes to all those opportunities since has made so many parts of my life unbelievable to that yearning version of myself.
I’ve had the joy of performing in different cities, hosting four shows, sharing stages alongside icons and legends and meeting so many amazing people.
(There are so many thank yous I don’t know where to start but)
Thank you so much to my friends and family that have pushed me out of fear and been my biggest supporters. To @dirtdykesleeds@ageoftheinfo , @androandeve and many other event holders for believing in me and giving me chances to hone this passion project of mine. And to all the people that have worked so hard to open up the drag scene for people like myself.
I’ve always found it so hard to sit and revel in my accomplishments (especially when shit hit the fan), so this is me giving myself something to look back at.

Pink After Dark by @castlesintheskyproject was one of the most special nights of my life ✨
The Bradford Gay Switch Board operated during the 1980’s and volunteers would connect with queer folk in need of the lifeline a safe listening ear could provide. Using audio from the short film the Bradford Gay Switch Board made in 1985 and My Song by Labi Siffre. I told the story of self-discovery and its relationship with shame and freedom, that myself and many others are familiar with
As a Bradfordian myself, it was the greatest honour to be part of an event celebrating Bradfords Queer Heritage, and to be received by my community as a part of that tapestry 🙏🏾
An amazing lineup with The Lavender Cafe Orchestra, @aJasmineKennedy , @itsjudeokay and the absolutely mesmerising @davidhoyleuniverse .
