Hey folks! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping afloat right now! We wanted to jump on and let you know where we are. We’ve had quite a few people ask where are we? Currently at AGEOFTHE we’re not doing so great. And believers of being upfront about stuff, we’re having a shit time. To give some more detail we’ve all hit mental and physical burn out pretty bad. Since our last show at Halloween 2023 we’ve taken a huge step back. Firstly we lost a venue that meant a lot to us, and with that jobs. We’ve been trying to bounce back from this but the road ahead is a hard one. With many arts institutions in Leeds closing, we’re heartbroken to see one of our homes @clayleeds be closed. A venue which helped us from day one to become practising artists in Leeds. A venue that believed in us from the begging, running around naked covered in paint, eggs, cling film! With other venues on the risk of being closed, we show our support and admiration for our fellow collectives putting on shows to support these venues. We are hoping to come back and bring some queer joy soon, but for now we’re sitting tight and looking after we want to implore you to go to locals shows. Please go and support your local drag scene, because if you don’t it will disappear. Please try and make it and show up for the local queers doing the very hard work of organising and protesting right now. We stand in solidarity with all our community and hope nothing but the best for this city to be rebuilt by the rebels, misfits, artists, queers, poets, performers, good fucking people. We will be back, just bare with ✨

An ode to @sheafstreet 🪩 We found a home in Sheaf St back in 2018 when James and Laura asked us to be crazy lil go go dancers for their epic one night festival Midnight. Since then we’ve felt a core part of the family. From dressing up as space cowgirls, circus performers to producing our shows to be held in the event space. Leeds, you’ve lost a huge part of the arts industry this week. This is the importance of supporting your local indie venues. This is what it means to buy a ticket to an event when you can afford to. This is what our government is doing to community spaces. Large developments like @airepark are vampires on the diy and indie scene. Shame on you @airepark . Sheaf St. believed in us. Like really believed in us. So much that I got my dream job. The space that will be left by this venue is immense. We need more venues to be weird art kids in and to flourish. You really were the biggest supporters for what we did, we are all truely heartbroken to loose our home. Thank you to every single person who attended an AGEOFTHE at Sheaf St. 💔 Enjoy the silly slideshow and images from my phone I’ve kept to remind me how magical we are xxx

Event info for tomorrow! 👻 I know the poster says 8pm, doors will be 9! 🫠 One thing we’d like to stress, if you feel unwell please don’t come. We still love and appreciate you, but with the rise of covid we need to reduce the risk of it spreading through those vulnerable in our community. There will be masks on the door if you need one! There will be limited tickets on the door. Sheaf St have increased our capacity slightly, there will be 20 tickets on the door which will all be standing. If at any point you need a seat during the evening we will provide you with one! There will be two rows of seats, including accessible seating and wheelchair space. Look after each other and let’s have a wonderful night of regression 🦷🔪😩 Tickets still available in the link! Please note door tickets will be more expensive than pre bought via RA 🙏
