Lighting setup
The lighting setup for this shoot had two parts, each using three lights: two Godox units and one on-camera flash.
For the black and white images, both Godox lights were aimed at the backdrop, with two polyboards placed in front of the model to bounce some of the light coming off the background. The on-camera flash helped to fill in the shadows.
For the colour images, one light was placed behind the model, above her head, to spill onto the backdrop and act as a rim light. The second Godox light, fitted with a deep octa softbox, served as the key light on the model. Finally, the mounted flash provided catchlights in her eyes.

‘Sharp But Temporary’ editorial shoot
Lighting for this was an octa with no attachments on aimed down on the model to my right and another strobe aimed at the backdrop with a bell reflector on it to stop any spill light from hitting the subject.

How I shot this fun shoot was with one light directly above with a large white brolly attached. Super simple but affective with the right vision. There was the added problem of shooting through a reflective surface which I tried to reduce by placing a bin bag over me 😂
