Watch The Throne: bareknuckle fight scene
Is it really a documentary when you drop in to 2 minutes of this? Who knows. But thatâs what
@wegoagain do. Switch up the game. And it makes perfect sense when you watch the film!
Shot so viscerally by
@arthur_lok1 that makes you feel every punch (at one point he did ask the performers to quite literally hit him) and produced expertly by
@carlmasonfilm .
In the edit, inspired by the fight sequences in Bourne, we wanted this scene to feel as raw and organic as possible - with room for a moment or two of dark humour to breathe - and giving time to the young boy (portraying a young Tyson Fury) experiencing whatâs unfolding through his eyes.
Another decision we made was to ensure this sequence was not over the top in fast cuts - where you canât even tell whatâs going on - like some big screen similar scenes can be. Considering you are hiding punches that didnât actually land - I think we achieved that right balance in pacing - which is a massive thanks to the performances and cinematography.
An incredible learning experience to edit our first fight sequence (thatâs not in a boxing ring!) and do hit us up for Bourne 5.
Big shout to
@rumble.post who took our track lay (laying in sfx during the edit) and levelled it up to create such a brutal and organic soundscape that you can truly feel.
Also at one point we had âCome and get your loveâ as the soundtrack but we couldnât afford it in the end so maybe next time.
