This weekend was all about @miloherbertbakes and making superb pizzas with 3/4’s of our kids. Superb work Milo I’m really impressed with your set up and graft. 2nd-to-none. Couldn’t have done it without @josephineherbertt & @prudence.herbert_ . @beatrix.herbert you were missed. #JesusCrust next year? Strong performances also from Craig and Owen and @djbbq - LIVING LEGEND. Thank you @archiestoastieshop for making it happen @velobakery for the fantastic oven @hobbshousebakery for the sourdough and so much more. Thanks to everyone that queued and ate and came to say hi. Peace&Loaf, x
next week @windout_barn is hosting With Good Company for the second time. What began last year as an experiment in co-creation continues to take shape - a gathering influenced as much by the land as by the people who come.
We’re glad to open Windout Barn again alongside @tom_herbert_ from The Long Table and Will James @with.diversity , who are collaborating and leading the experience. Together they’re creating space for people carrying a lot - pressure, responsibility, pace - to step into something slower and more restorative.
@windout_barn say, “as hosts, it’s a privilege to see the barn and landscape become part of that. To watch people reconnect with themselves, each other, and the natural world around them.”
There are still a few spaces available.
If you’re curious, get in touch with
@with.diversity or @tom_herbert_ to find out more.

A book club with a difference with @tom_herbert_ and @willjamescoach over a fire cooked feast at @thelongtablestroud ~ such delicious food and to listen to Tom share his honest and raw experiences in his role as a leader and innovator throughout his career. I found it so inspiring, and Will knew exactly what to ask to really extract those raw responses. So many amazing events are run at @thelongtablestroud ~ hopefully more like this too.

Down in Cornwall with the family for the weekend and this bowl of @goodsmallfarms fruit and avocados we bought with us is looking timeless and delicious.
The brilliant and important Long Table, where everyone eats together at whatever price they can afford, and staff + suppliers are properly paid. My article on founder @tom_herbert_ is up on @telegraphfood@telegraph now - link in bio or google “Tom Herbert Long Table Xanthe Clay Telegraph” or somesuch. But mostly, go and eat at @thelongtablestroud and @thelongtablecirencester . Because we need good stuff right now.
These three things are super important to us at The Long Table.
We often find people are surprised to know that most of our food is purchased, or that we’re a business (we’re a Community Interest Company), or that we’re committed to fair paid employment rather than relying on volunteers.
Any surprises in there for you?
