Today, we are spotlighting one of Tim’s favourite ad picks: the epic Canal+ “Closet” ad. Because sure, we are all storytellers, but when it comes to Canal+, there’s always a twist you never saw coming.
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, the ad is equal parts hilarious and epic as it kicks off with a medieval chase through the forest, knights in pursuit, a man diving into a river clutching a wooden block… you are instantly hooked. And then it slips out thet he’s just a lover hiding in the closet, caught by the husband while the wife watches from the bed.
The treatment is pure Canal+. It’s cinematic, over-the-top, and hilariously unexpected.
