SO excited to be exhibiting this project by @rammgm12 at the @climateculture_nola exhibition at @smallcenter.tulane
A total of 32 - 60” x 80” fleece blankets were produced using original photographs made of black masking Indians on Mardi Gras Day 2026 and at the annual Uptown Super Sunday Celebration held
this year.
The blankets were hung on the fences of Hardin Park which was the ending location of the March 2026 Mardi Gras Indian Downtown Super Sunday Parade here in New Orleans.
The blankets were gifted to the Mardi Gras Indians featured in the photographs as they entered the park at the end of the parade.
(Note: The five blankets shown as part of this exhibit have yet to be gifted to the individuals appearing in the photographs. tag someone who might know where they are!!)

There are two photographers in New Orleans that I look up to more than anyone else: @polosilk3 and @cgranger , I admire both of their work for various reasons and in many ways I think put together their work represents a large swath of what makes New Orleans special. On this day, I had the wonderful opportunity of randomly bumping into Polo and snapping this shot (slide 1)
Included in the rest of the set are photos of Skull and Bones parading through Jazz Fest, @mahmoudchouki on the Lagniappe stage, some incredible (if I do say so myself) images from Sauvage fest and several kisses! Jazz Fest is for love y’all!
