In February, I was invited by
@walkerartgallery to help produce the graphics, marketing, and 2D design for Gender Stories, a new touring exhibition that’s now opened at
@bristolmuseums
Gender is complex, fluid, and expressed in so many ways—through art, history, politics, and daily life. This exhibition unpacks those layers, challenging rigid binaries and offering space for broader, more inclusive narratives around sex, gender, sexuality, and identity.
A few weeks into working on this, the UK Supreme Court ruled that the legal definition of ‘man’ and ‘woman’ is based on biological sex—a frustrating and deeply disheartening blow to trans rights and the wider fight for gender inclusivity in this country.
In light of that, the significance of Gender Stories became even more urgent. It’s been a privilege to work on this with
@pollylewisdesign @cocktailgoth and the amazing teams at Bristol, Brighton and Liveprool Musuems—creating an exhibition that actively resists reductive definitions and instead celebrates complexity, diversity, and lived experience.
More photos to come, but if you’re in or around Bristol this summer, do stop by and see it. It tours later this year to Brighton and then Liverpool in 2026.
