Meet Una!
We’re introducing people who are working to shift the narrative around Long COVID, as part of our Listening for the Long Haul (LFLH) project. LFLH is a public history project grounded in disability justice that features 20+ Long COVID oral history interviews.
In this post, you’ll meet Una Osato, who is a “Narrative Architect” with LFLH. Narrative Architects are people living Long COVID and associated conditions (LCAC), who participated in a training series where they learned to interview community members and narrate their own experiences with this disease.
This post includes a clip of Una talking about her experiences with LCAC, plus info about her other advocacy and creative work.
We hope these stories can offer connection and solace for anyone living with LCAC. They also serve as sources of education & challenge for anyone who is engaged in COVID denialism - including healthcare providers & movement orgs who are not addressing the real threats that COVID & LCAC present to our beloved communities!
We’re excited to share these interviews with you - start listening at L4LH.org, and join us for our launch:
