Officially qualified as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner This journey has stretched me, grounded me, and reminded me why I do this work. Sitting with children in their world, listening through play, and holding safe spaces where words aren’t always needed has been a real privilege. I’m grateful for the learning, the supervision, the moments of reflection, and the children who trusted me enough to show up just as they are. Thankful for everyone who supported, challenged, and believed in me along the way. On to the next chapter- fully, certified play therapist 🤍

H I 👋🏾 Im Jade, I thought I’d pop on and show my face as it has been a while since I’ve been on the grid. I am co founder of The Playcycle along with my two little princess’ Miss Chief and Meatballs, they often make cameos on the grid and in stories. They are the reason why I began my play account, they not only inspire my set ups but they now independently and co create play set ups too! I am excited to announce, that I am begging my training of becoming a play therapist, I start in March *insert excitement* so I will be sharing the process with you. Bookings are now open for our sensory play pop ups and workshops for children aged 6 months - 6 years.. send me DM for more info. I will also be offering some new workshops for older children, so stay turned for that too. In the meantime, don’t be stranger I love getting to know you all.

C L A Y P L A Y There’s something grounding about clay. When a child presses their hands into it, rolls it between their fingers, or shapes it into something only they understand, you can almost see the weight they’ve been carrying begin to soften. In play therapy, clay invites children to connect back to the earth, to something natural, messy, and real. There are no rules, no perfect answers, and no pressure to “get it right.” Just space to feel. Some children talk while they create. Others stay quiet, letting the clay speak for them. Anger can be squeezed out. Worries can be flattened, reshaped, broken apart, and rebuilt again. Feelings that once felt too big for words suddenly become easier to hold. Sometimes conversations begin with earth in your hands. ✨

M A S K S 🎭 Hi guys I’m back with another playroom rambles and today I’m touching on masks. Whilst I’m not going to go into the process behind these masks I am going to talk a little bit about their purpose. In play therapy, masks can become a powerful way for children to express what they may struggle to put into words. Creating their own mask gives a child the freedom to explore emotions, identity, and imagination in a safe and creative space. Some children design masks that show how they feel on the outside, while others reveal emotions they keep hidden. Through colours, shapes, and symbols, masks can help children communicate fear, confidence, sadness, joy, or even parts of themselves they are still learning to understand. Rather than hiding behind something, children often use masks to show us who they are.

E A R T H D A Y 🌍 Earth Day is a global event celebrated every year on 22 April to raise awareness about protecting our planet and encouraging positive environmental action. It reminds us that small daily choices can make a big difference for future generations. Here are a few simple ways to celebrate Earth Day: Spend time outdoors and reconnect with nature♻️ Reduce waste by recycling and reusing items Walk, cycle, or use public transport instead of driving Plant a tree or support local green spaces Save water and energy at home Support sustainable and eco-friendly businesses Join a local clean-up in your community Earth Day isn’t just about one day, it’s about creating habits that protect the world we all share. Every action counts, no matter how small. What’s one thing you can do today to help the planet?
