I was shocked to find that I was the only British Press covering the event for its 30th Anniversary in 2024, so I’ve made it my mission to document what I believe to be one of the best events in the world: Celebrating Black Women" "What a lot of people don’t realise is that most press opportunities are unpaid and as my platform, ‘The Mainstream’ is an Independent publication, I self funded this trip" "I wanted to spread some joy and uplift not only the viewers but the interviewees who would be on the red carpet, especially in light of the BAFTA Awards N-Word controversy."
