The Leaf Library - After The Rain, Strange Seeds (fika114lp) - out 20/03/2026 New album! We’re very happy to introduce our new record, After The Rain, Strange Seeds, released in March on LP/CD/DL via @fikarecordings . Produced by us and mixed by John McEntire (Tortoise, The Sea And Cake), it’s an album of pastoral indie pop gems, drawing inspiration from suburban isolation, unreliable memories and the surreality of the weather. You can pre-order the album from today via the Fika Bandcamp page (link in our profile) - the first 40 copies of each physical format come with an exclusive 28 page book of photos and notes from the recording sessions. You can listen to the first single today on the Fika Bandcamp page and most streaming sites, as well as watch the Michael Wood-directed video (links to all in our profile). The Reader’s Lamp is a hymn to the strangeness of the natural world at dusk, a gently motorik swoon through layers of strings and guitar arpeggios. Titled by our pal Peter Strickland, it also features Paddy Milner (from the Tom Jones band) on electric piano, the excellent Iskra Strings quartet and Melinda Bronstein on backing vocals. There will be another single and video to follow next month, with the full album released on Friday 20 March. Album art by the wonderful illustrator Olivia Sullivan @zeb.ko . We’re off on tour in March and April to support the album, so do pop in if you’re about. OUT TODAY! The third and final single from our new album is called Still & Moving and is available to stream on (most of) your favourite sites. It’s a sprightly rocker and a slightly gnomic take on the pleasures and anxieties of an eternal connection with another human being, featuring an excellent non-solo by Mike from @firestationsband . Fair to say this has become a bit of a live favourite, as well as several plays on that 6Music (thanks @gideoncoe ). The single is taken from our fourth album, After The Rain, Strange Seeds, out now on @fikarecordings

Tour is done! Thanks to everyone that came to see us, bought stuff, booked us, fed us and/or put us up. We’ve had the time of our lives and feel pretty pleased with ourselves that we’ve managed to get 6 people around 8 dates and have just about broken even. The best thing has been seeing the absolute best of people - it’s a wonderful community and we’re lucky to be a small part of it.
